We spent two nights here in Naples before travelling on to Sorrento, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a hotel which, while possibly short on mod cons, was characterful, comfortable, and atmospheric. Ask for a room overlooking the Bay of Naples and the view will take your breath away. Breakfast was ample and tasty, service courteous and old... More

Location is very nice and not too far from city centre. This is the best area in Naples, it is quiet and safe, atvthe evenings lots of yong people chilling arounf and frindly enviroment. Very good place to stay, if you choose sea view rooms you will fall in love with Naples with the first second you see it. Breakfast... More

Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Clean, with all required amenities. City centre within walking distance - area has good restaurants. Shabby chic atmosphere with great views over the Bay to Vesuvius..

Nice hotel although steep stairs to climb. Service was a bit hit and muss. Nice breakfast. Would probably stay here again. Only 30,euros from hotel to airport. Room was massive with bath. Comfy bed. Nice views

Well it's just old but most things/places are in Naples and we didn't even see any really modern hotels. Like lots of reviews on here have said this place was probably once the best place to stay but it's now way out of date, it was like stepping back in time! As a base, was fine, a clean bed &... At check-in, the clerk was unfriendly and uncommunicative. The dingy lobby stinks of old smoke. Our room reeked of mildew - it was so bad that we had to sleep with the windows open, despite the noisy street below. Decor was dreary, the desk lamp didn't work, the "frigobar" was nearly empty, toilet didn't flush and the shower drained *very*... More

I was here for two days for a archaeological conference. Its main appeal is a splendid 19th century building with a fantastic view of Naples, the bay, Vesuvius and Capri. Prices are reasonable given this appeal. The decor is rather work, and looks like it hasn't been refreshed since the 1970s. The front desk staff are helpful when called upon.... More

I have stayed at this hotel many times. I travel across the world and am familiar with the typical chains. Unlike so many hotels that pretend to be different yet are absolutely identical this Hotel truly has character. Superb views and in arguably a real Italian city that has everything. Here you are staying in a hotel that is living... More

Altogether a comfortable and good for value option, but the place is in dire need of a refurbishment! Even the waiters and receptionists look like they were hired when the decor was made back in the 1971 and they just aged with it.
