At check-in, the clerk was unfriendly and uncommunicative. The dingy lobby stinks of old smoke. Our room reeked of mildew - it was so bad that we had to sleep with the windows open, despite the noisy street below. Decor was dreary, the desk lamp didn't work, the "frigobar" was nearly empty, toilet didn't flush and the shower drained *very*... More

I was here for two days for a archaeological conference. Its main appeal is a splendid 19th century building with a fantastic view of Naples, the bay, Vesuvius and Capri. Prices are reasonable given this appeal. The decor is rather work, and looks like it hasn't been refreshed since the 1970s. The front desk staff are helpful when called upon.... More

I have stayed at this hotel many times. I travel across the world and am familiar with the typical chains. Unlike so many hotels that pretend to be different yet are absolutely identical this Hotel truly has character. Superb views and in arguably a real Italian city that has everything. Here you are staying in a hotel that is living... More

Altogether a comfortable and good for value option, but the place is in dire need of a refurbishment! Even the waiters and receptionists look like they were hired when the decor was made back in the 1971 and they just aged with it.

This end of XIX century hotel has very charming rooms, with vintage forniture (from Empire style or Louis XVI to Art Nouveau and Art Deco). The view of the Naples' Bay is stunning. The garden has very old tropical plants It is located quite centrally, not far from metro and the sea promenade. The rooms are nice, the personnel very... More

We came to Napoli to visit family and stayed at this hotel. This hotel is in an ideal location. 10 minute walk to the sea front and a 5 minute walk into the shopping area and subway. This hotel is not modern but has a traditional feel and look to it. It certainly has a very welcoming effect. The staff... More

This once grand hotel is slowly fading away, though perhaps gracefully. It's position is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful but it is in serious need of investment. The rooms need updating and the electrics look in need of care and attention.

I stayed here for 4 nights with a friend. The hotel has a faded grandeur which we found charming and characterful. If you want soulless sleek and modern, don't stay here! We had an amazing view of the bay and Vesuvius from our huge room on the 3rd floor. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very... More

The location was great and the view from the room was awesome. The hotel is easily reachable by the port as well as the airport (hotel can arrange cab service for 23 euro to airport). The hotel is also pretty cheap. We stayed there two nights but I missed out on the breakfast so can't speak to that. The pictures... More

Me and my husband were on our honeymoon to Italy and we booked hotel Britannique for our stay in September this year. We reached there through Naples Metro and took a funiculore to the top to get out of station that was just ten mins away from Hotel Britannique. Meaning the connectivity was good for us.. The breakfast buffet was... More
