One of the best hotels for value for money.the staff were excellent, they couldn't do enough for you and very proficient. The entrance hall was amazing, marble and chandeliers everywhere. The room was exceptional, beautiful large bed and very comfortable. The bathroom was large with marble walls. The finishing touches were wonderful, bed turned down at night, chocolate on your pillow and the TV remote... More

Looks Grand at the Entrance but not great once passed the front door. Breakfast ok. Rooms ok. Solarium on roof meant to be grand. Far from it. Beds were dirty and not cleaned. Staff were not the friendliest I have ever had. Hotel overall was at the very best a 2 star.

This hotel used to be affiliated with SPG as a luxury collection, but changed ownership after we booked. They honored all of our services as an SPG member, even though they changed. It's not quite as nice as the Westin in Rome, but similar. They have a phenomenal view of the city, the harbor, and Mt. Vesuvius from their rooftop... More

Elegant hotel but the shower was hazardous unless you don't mind ice skating on wet Marble because the glass panel does not keep the water in.The WIFI was incredibly slow. The door men flat out ignored us and the woman at the front desk tried to charge us twice. Its a beautiful hotel and our room was nice and clean but... More

This place is a magnificent remnant from the past and beautifully preserved and renovated. If you value old world ballrooms, Venetian glass chandeliers, Persian carpets, linen sheets and turned down beds and monogrammed foot towels when you come in after dinner; This place is for you. It is also perfectly located in the best part of Naples on the port.... More

Some people are weird with their hotel reviews - if you want a view, pay more for a sea side view. Otherwise, don't complain. Also, it's a hotel, not your home, so it's probably not going to be as quiet as what you are used to. This hotel - great views and balconies (if you pay for it), clean, great... More

A wonderfully situated hotel in Naples. The hotel is tired and the staff rude. The room which was a superior faced inwards with a view of bird mess and a wall! Goodness knows what standard rooms were like. Booked direct and was offered no welcome drink as promised and receptionist argued over the 1pm check out that was clearly stated... More

We stayed in this beautiful hotel from June 2 through June 6. I booked our room months in advance, and had time to research their facility and contact them regarding my preferences for where I wanted to stay in the hotel. They provided the room I requested in the best location overlooking the Bay of Naples. We had a beautiful... More

First the bad points: we are not easily offended and still not sure if it is due to our age (however we are 30) but we found the staff here to be rude, unhelpful, a little condescending and more focused on schmoozing middle aged groups of business people. Understandably, this is an up market hotel and its core business may... More

When entering the Excelsior Hotel in Naples, you're stepping back in time in terms of standards and service. Waiters, porters and reception staff are immaculately dressed, unbelievably polite and genuinely want to help your stay be the best possible. These standards are further reflected in the cleanliness of the rooms. We stayed in a superior room which was well equipped... More
