Just returned from this lovely hotel in Naples with my other half. Excellent location, right on the sea front so would advise you to book a sea view room with a balcony. I would also suggest a room higher up which should be less noisy especially on a Friday or Saturday evening. We arrived late morning and got a taxi from... More

Very nice hotel, the pictures on the website led me to believe it was modern however this is a great hotel. It seems a little tired but has been here since something like 1872. I was very disappointed that there is a 15 euro charge each ! To use the pool when you are a resident, I have never seen... More

I can be a bit bias when talking about the Vesuvio as my family has always stayed there when in Naples ( from my Grandparents, parents and now us ) but this classic , elegant Hotel deserves a good review. If you're lucky to get a room with Ocean View then you will definitely have a great stay...just opening the... More

My group of 16 was extremely pleased with the Vesuvio. Beautiful public spaces (lobby, lounge), main floor private salons that resemble palace ballrooms, a 1st floor breakfast room--with a superb buffet breakfast and excellent, gracious service--that looks directly across to the majestic Castel Nuovo on the Bay of Napoli, and a rooftop restaurant (the Caruso, named for the famous tenor... This hotel has elegance written all over it, sometimes faded in places, its reminiscent of those wonderful Sophia Loren movies where everything is marble, space and fantastic Italian service. Overlooking the bay and next to the wonderful promenade, its a 10 minute walk from the centre of town and all the shopping areas. The rooms were large and spacious and... More

The hotel is in a great location with wonderful amenities! It is within walking distance to good restaurants. The breakfast is well worth the extra cost! Wonderful pastries! If you stay there plan to be pampered!

The Grand Hotel Vesuvio is a marvel. It is the perfect hotel whether you're staying for business or leisure. On this occasion it was for business and could not recommend it highly enough. The room I had did not have the ocean view but that didn't matter. As I've mentioned in other reviews it is the staff that make the... More

Grand Hotel Vesuvio is such an awesome hotel! And it's in the most perfect location imaginable. Right on the water near the harbour, and walkable to restaurants, attractions, and most importantly, gelato. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and the buffet breakfast was delicious. There were a ton of options for food and the breakfast room has beautiful views. We didn't... More

There is a wealth of options in Naples when it comes to self appointed 4-star and 5-star hotels. All of them go back to the last century, and several even go back to the previous century. This is to say that the seeker of high end contemporary options will be disappointed. No really big name of the hospitality industry is... More

Understanding there few very good choices in Naples, this is a good option. The location is excellent. Breakfast was not - really forgettable . Room was old and nothing special as well. The most amazing thing I will remember was the concierges services - they are REALLY good, top worldwide. I can't remember their names, but both gave me a... More
