We stayed for 6 days in Mid August. The Caracciolo is an Oasis in the center of a very gloomy area of a chaotic and very exciting city. A beautifull and well keeped building, we had a very nice room (triple) with a small balcony, very good beds and pillows. The staff extremely helpful and friendly (specially Fabiana at the... More

Excellent service with a very friendly team. The breakfast buffet is rather good and the terrace really nice. Despite the fact that the hotel is located in a very popular and dynamic neighborhood, the palazzo is a small bubble with calm and harmony. Very good value for money. I strongly recommend it.

We were discouraged by some to not stay in Naples. Do not listen and take at least if not two nights to visit this jewel. Yes, it does (and is) look old/dirty, but generally safe. The hotel was outstanding. I simply love Italians. So accommodating and friendly. Our room was fantasic. View not so much, but it was a view... More

We stayed at this hotel in August, after being let down by another aparthotel. It is in a beautiful, clean building with good air conditioning (which was very much appreciated in August!). Our room had a small balcony and overlooked the main street, which was great for watching the crazy driving in Naples from a safe distance! We ate in... More

I can but agree with previous reviewers - the hotel is in an unappealing part of town with littered, graffitied streets, with uneven and somewhat dangerous footpaths. This isn't the hotel's fault of course, but it did deter us from venturing out walking in the evening. The hotel itself is quite elegant and has several peaceful courtyards. I was upgraded... More

Ditto what everyone's said: the Palazzo Caracciolo is not in a great neighborhood. It's gritty, dirty, loud, full of trash... everything you'd expect from the neighborhood near the city's main train station. While this doesn't affect the hotel, travelers who are faint of heart, the neighborhood might not be for you. We found it a great base-camp for trips outside... More

When you arrive in naples you are confronted with graffiti, rubbish and a run down drive from the airport. Arriving at the hotel you are greeted with an elegant entrance, courtyards and friendly, professional staff. The rooms are clean, the beds are large and look inviting. The beds turn out to be comfortable and a pleasure to get in to... More

Let's make this absolutely clear.... Palazzo Caracciolo is in a grubby, untidy part of old town Naples. That said, the hotel itself is as welcoming and clean as you could possibly expect to find. You enter through the old gates and leave the intimidation of the streets behind. We stayed 3 nights and couldn't have been happier with any aspect... More

If you want to visit Naples, This is the perfect hotel to stay. Old magnificent Palazzo renovated. Big and design rooms. Skilled personnel. Not far from center. Accor hotels network. Nice restaurant in the courtyard.

We stayed here during August. A really lovely experience. The hotel is beautiful and we found the staff very pleasant. We asked for a room with a terrace and we got what we wanted. Some other reviewers have mentioned that the hotel isn't in a particularly beautiful area and that the streets around it are a little threatening. I can... More
