I highly recommend Casa del Monacone. Beautifully decorated, very clean, warm service and good breakfast in a historic pilgrim's home next to a church in Sanitas a fifteen minute walk from the archeology museum. I hope to go back when it's warmer (I was there only one night during a spring rainstorm). My only caveat is if you're walking back... More

Casa dei Monacone gave me a taste of Napoli outside of the usual tourist affair. I stayed there for my first week in Napoli before movin down to the banking area my second week while in Naples on assignment to document her churches. Very oportune to start at Casa Monacone as I felt like a local. It is a converted... More

Booking was very easy to do via email. Written communication in English was very clear. I recommend arriving by taxi from airport or train station. The streets and sidewalks are very busy and it will be tricky carrying or pulling your luggage. The staff will give you instructions on which taxi to take and how much to pay. Casa del... More

I booked this hostel for a group of 7 people on a study trip into the realities of Southern Italy with all its contradictions.. and I couldn't have chosen a better place for this purpose! The hostel is beautifully structured, furnished and decorated with very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms and great breakfast. But the best part are the young... More

My friend and I (both young females) stayed here for two nights. The B&B is located in a terrible part of Naples. Both the cab driver and our tour guide told us not to bring out our cell phones or wear jewelry in public. It was quite uncomfortable for us having to wait outside alone for 30 minutes the night... More than two thousand years of history and art - and the rooms are part of it with all the comforts of a modern hotel. Take the lift down and you are in a Basilica of astonishing beauty. Then the crypt, the catacombs....mesmerising stay!

This B&B is amazing in numerous points of view: a very good welcome, clean and spacious rooms in a historic place, pleasant common areas (the terrace and the large kitchen which we can use as if we were at home), the management by an association which aims at renewing and at making change things in this very popular and so... As mentioned by others this place is located in a crazy kind of neighbourhood and it certainly gives you an insight to the real Napoli. The Sanita area is a little out of the city centre but it is easily accessible by walking or taking the bus. The young men that run this stay are kind and thoughtful and were... More

Its very hard to describe this place. We've never stayed anywhere like it and we certainly appreciated our visit. The Sanita district is a colourful, messy, noisy, kaleidoscope of people and traffic. In the evenings, for a couple of hours, the exhaust fumes and noise are severe ... and yet, close the front door of Casa del Monacone and you... More

Sanita is a colourful neighbourhood while the Casa del Monacone offers calm comfort and an interesting breakfast table where all the guests mingle at will. The young people who run the place are hard working and pleasant. The place and its occupants were full of surprises in the best sense of the word.
