This hotel is very clean and the room we had (which was upgraded for reason below) was spacious. Must warn you that if you book this hotel in advance of your travel dates, recheck the rates they are charging about a week of your departure. We booked directly with them and thought we were getting a good deal until we... more

I was travelling with my 65 yr old mom and I did so much research before booking all my hotels. The Antiche Mura Hotel which is rated #2 or 3 recommended it to me. I am so happy they did being they were fully booked. I needed to be close to the center where everything would be convenient. The hotel... more

We stayed at Palazzo Guardati in Sorrento from April 7 to April 13, 2009 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. It iwas conveniently located at the center of sorrento within walking distance to all major attractions as well as to the harbor where you can catch a ferry to Capri and Naples. We... more

The hotel itself was charming, with larger than average rooms and bathrooms. The staff were warm and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. I had left my camera in the taxi when we left for the airport in Naples. Pasquale, the Desk Manager, took the time to find the taxi driver and retrieve my... more

Palazzo Guadati was formerly a palace. The front facade has been retained but the interior has been re-furbished to an extremely high standard and open as a hotel for about three years. The interior decoration is very light and airy with marble floors and modern furnishings. Everything has been fitted to a high standard. Especially impressive was the very modern... more

Me and my family stayed here for my wedding. This hotel could not have a better location. It is dead center to the Piazza Tasso and a few steps from really good restaurants. The staff was very kind, spoke great English and was awesome when helping me with details of my wedding day such as taxis and driver service. The... more

we stayed at palazzo guardati during a heatwave and were disappointed with everything. The air conditioning didn't work, we were located in a nasty back street, and the roof terrace was not open so there was nowhere to be outside in the sorrento sun. The food was appalling and the reception staff spoke such bad English that they gave us... more

We stayed at the Palazzo Guardati for 6 nights recently. My best friend was getting married and my daughters were bridesmaid and flower girl. While we were in Sorrento in April the wedding planner had taken us in to see the Guardati as we were very unhappy with the Eden where we were staying. I was very impressed and decided... more

Spotlessly clean. Central location. Furniture and fittings still look and work as new. Spacious room with juliet balcony. Friendly (both front desk and service), English-speaking staff. Good breakfast - vegetarians note though that bacon mixed in with the scrambled egg! Within easy reach of train and bus station plus ferry. Yes, there is some noise from the restaurant below (sounded... more

The decision by my pale ginger friend and his equally pale blonde girlfriend to get married in Sorrento in the middle of August certainly raised eybrows in the Electric Household. Talks of barbequed flesh and dehydration ran rife before we actually decided to attend the wedding. The hotel research was conducted once again by my very own wife who seems... more
