My friend n I chose La Magnolia at random after we were given a few names by a staff at the Sorrento's tourist info centre. And, I hv to say that we were very lucky. It was a pretty n quiet little place. Though we only stayed one night, Carlo, was the perfect host. He was friendly n genuinely nice.... More

My daughter and I have just completed a lovely stay at Carlo's La Magnolia. La Magnolia is very clean and secure, and has a cute terrace for breakfast. It is located very close to the train station, less than a 10 minute walk, just straight out of station entrance, turn left and at the piazza another left turn, then it's... More

The best thing about La Magnolia is its close location to the square and where all the action is. It is also a walking distance from the port and from the train station. The room for modern styled and equipped with everything you may need except for an iron. It is spacious considering it is B&B room. The whole place... More

We were at LaMagnolia for 3 nights and found it to be the perfect location! Close to main square, restaurants and old town. Carlo was so helpful with recommendations for restaurants, letting us use his computer. We were able to visit a bit with Carlo and his son the day before we left, which was very special. A little trouble... More

We had booked to stay at this hotel and the day before we were to arrive, they had a terrible rain storm and the room we were to stay in was water damaged. As they were fully booked, the owners, Carlo and Jenny, went above and beyond to accomodate us. They booked us a room at a 4-star hotel, paid... More

Our original reservation was for La Magnolia, but there is a sister hotel called B & Be Sorrento that we actually stayed at because we had extended our stay and extra night and rather than move for our last night, Carlo, the owner allowed us to stay there all 3 nights. Carlo is wonderful! He went out of his way... More

While we were at breakfast, money and jewelry were stolen from our room! The 'management' was unsympathetic and acted like we were lying or mistaken. Be sure to lock up all valuables all the time when traveling, and leave good jewelry at home! More

My friend and I went to Sorrento for 5 nights primarily to attend a wedding there. We booked Magnolia after trip advisor reviews and I am so glad that we did. It was good value compartaively with other accomodation in Sorrento, the room was comfortable and roomy with a great bathroom and the location was unbeatable. The room has very... More

My wife and I (over 55) just spent a wonderful week in Sorrento, where we stayed in the Hotel La Magnolia. It is a 10 minute walk to the Circumvesuviana (don’t be intimidated by what you read about this) station, a 5 minute walk to the old town, a 15 to 20 minute walk down to the port, and a... More
