La Magnolia is right next to the main square in Sorrento. It's reasonably priced for its location and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms are nice but request a room with a balcony at the same price. I received the ground level room next to the entrance and where everyone had breakfast. It is smaller, no balcony,... more

Best possible location, close to everything, just outside a good parking place, close to the harbor (to go to Capri). Very good room and bathroom. Owner gave us all the information we needed. He does not appear to be helpful at first, but he is. I think he works too much. But he is efficient and helped us at everything... more

We stayed at La Magnolia for 8 days whilst traveling around Italy. The location is convenient and the room was comfortable but it only had a small roof window. Other rooms had balconies or large windows with views - but, for the same price, we got a room with a sky light/window that didn't open. The staff were extremely intrusive... more

I spent five nights with my girlfriend at the Magnolia in mid July 2008 and can't recommend it highly enough. The location is great - five minutes to the rail station/coach stop, 1 minute to the centre of the town, yet it still remains peaceful and quiet. The service was everything I would expect, and we were provided with all... more

As Sorrento was wet at this time of year, our stay was made more enjoyable in this clean, comfortable and modern room. English-speaking Manager Carlo was friendly and helpful and the hotel is very central. We would stay there again. more

La Magnolia is in a great location within walking distance of everything in Sorrento. The train station is about 1/2 mile away and the marina is either within walking distance or you can catch a bus nearby. Sorrento is a great place to stay for day trips to Pompeii, Capri, and the Amalfi coast. The rooms at La Magnolia are... more

As two California married couples starting our vacation from Switzerland to Cosenza, Italy...we hit the ground running and stayed in over 15 hotels in our 3-week trip, La Magnolia was one of our favorites! Owners and Operators Carlo & Jenny La Via could not have been more friendly, helpful and accomodating. Both of our rooms were very clean and comfortable.... more

After a fast trip from Rome to Naples via Eurostar then a junket down the Vesuviana {which can be both entertaining and educational if you're not burdened with luggage} then a pedestrian-dodging excercise between the station and Piazza de Tasso it was a delight to find that La Magnolia is both easily located and nicely appointed.. The friendly Carlo was... more

Our family stayed here for 5 nights. Room was to a high decroative and furnished standard and very clean. Room has a safe for valuables and our room window opened onto the street which was great for watching "la dolce vita" though could be a bit noisy early morning with traffic if you were a light sleeper. Carlo (B&B) owner... more
