We are just home from a holiday in Sorrento and used this Hotel from a group choice of around 5 Hotels in this region of Sorrento that has the Bay of Naples as its backdrop, with wonderful views of the Bay. Riviera Travel were good and the family that runs the hotel were very kind and full of fun and... More

Just come back from a very nice holiday at La Badia Hotel Sorrento, travelled with Rivera Travel who seemed to have an excellent relationship with this hotel as most of the guests were also Rivera customers. Good Points The hotel is family run and has a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are spotlessly clean and reasonably spacious. Staff are... More

This is a great hotel for couples. The owners& family cannot do enough for you. The hotel is small & comfortable with a nice pool area. Nice grounds surround the hotel & there is a path down to the town.

Fantastic hotel & staff - the family run La Badia; absolutely satisfied with food, room, service, location, views - everything. We requested, and received, a room overlooking the bay - room 33, with balcony, looking straight out at Vesuvius; very impressive. All staff were very, very friendly and most helpful and efficient. We had half-board and were given ample choice... More

If I had tried to write this review the first night I arrived, it probably wouldn't have been good. But that's not the fault of the hotel. It's my GPS that's to blame. If you are driving in, PLEASE email for directions! My GPS took me up the footpath. Of course, I didn't know it was the footpath until I... More

This is a lovely peaceful hotel- I recommend it Situation -in its own extensive grounds just above Sorrento . Easy walk to town, but uphill on return. Very quiet , no traffic noise Type of property - old monastery type building, very quaint, rooms in different directions around the corridors. Always very quiet. Rooms have air conditioning at no extra... More

This family run hotel, converted from an old monastery nestles in the hills above Sorrento. When we were there in late August the weather was extremely hot and we dined out on the terrace every night. The views from there were amazing and every night we watched the most amazing sunsets. You can walk to the town in about 15... More

Great Hotel, lots of character and very nice staff. Food was very good as well with some excellent fish and pasta dishes as you would expect. Hammocks and gardens great and you cannot beat fresh figs picked straight from the tree. The Monastery nestling in the olive groves high above Sorrento and the sunrises and sunsets and the view were... More

This is a truly delightful hotel in an amazing setting. Its an old monastery with thick brick walls and lots of character. There are hammocks hanging from trees and lots of nooks and crannies with shaded seating areas. There is a choice of menu for the evening meal and the starters are as big as the main course. The dining... More
