My experience at the Rivage: Talking to the night manager I originally felt quite comfortable. After asking him all my questions about Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii, Almalfi coast, Positano, and how to get to all these places: I felt like most of my questions were answered. He asked me if I wanted to go for a drink (first time overseas) and... More

The pictures of the rooms on the website are only of the luxury rooms. Standard rooms have no view and look into walls. The room we had had camper mattress bases so was incredibly uncomfortable. A noisy school group also disturbed our stay. the elderly man at reception showed no interest in addressing the matter. Rooms incredibly dusty/dirty.

the rooms of the photos totally reflect reality. you can still see the photos from the site of the economy and standard rooms that have views of the sea! we have nothing to hide! plus if she had never stayed at this period will certainly have had an upgrade FREE because the hotel is closing half-empty and were available all... Excellent hotel. Good location. Good and spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the sea. Excellent breakfast and lounge space for free use by guests. Good restaurant open for lunch and dinner. Staff very attentive. The only remark is about the service not very kind of the hotel manager.

This hotel room was really large and clean , the hotel is really central but if you are traveling with a car be careful of the overpriced car park rate of €12 daily and an other €12 per night for a cot if you are traveling with a baby .

Arriving with no booking we were happy to be offered a large room with balcony. Lots of room to spread out, small seaview from our bed which was lovely once the cloud cleared. Breakfast served was basic but fresh, and the wait staff were very attentive and friendly. We did have a few disappointments though. The hot water in the... More

Stay in a no window room, well it got window but open up to a wall with people walking pass above, so have the window and curtain closed all the time. We had booked this ahead of time as Sorrento was our first overnight stop in mainland Italy having crossed from Messina the night before and travelled round the Amalfi coast by a combination of boat and bus earlier in the day. We arrived in the evening and walked from the main square - about 8 minutes (don't bother with the... More

This is my review about the Hotel Rivage restaurant. We visited the place 3 years ago and couldn't remember their food but we really loved the place. Its located beautifully. The hotel is just a short walk from the town center. However the staff at the front was very rude and did not seem to help with rather simple requests. The view is okay as well. Additionally, the maid opened my room while it was occupied.
