Had a great 4 day stay. Rooms are small (typical in many European cities) but very clean. We had meals in the hotel restaurant and food and service was excellent. Great location; just down the road from city center.

Centrally located and much of the city is accessible from this well-appointed hotel. It has everything from a bar (that management is moving to a larger space) manned by a very personable young tender, to an outdoor pool deck perfect for after dinner drinks in privacy. (at least in April) Serves mostly American tour groups, which is both good and... More

This hotel serves the purpose... Clean with good cleaning service and central location and easy on the wallet... The breakfast was bad, service in the breakfast was poor. The pizza place next door is amazing... Lemon orchard across is good... Easy walk to the port and the center.

We recently spent 4 nights at the Michelangelo Hotel in Sorrento, Italy. As some of the previous reviews stated, it has some drawbacks. The bad, If you feel you must go to this Hotel, please look at the room they assign you first. As stated, some of the bathroom showers look like they come from a hobbits house, meaning they... More

Spent recently 3 nights - nothing to complain, except that the view from balcony was to the railwaystation 5 minute walk from the hotel - luckily the trains stopped at the station for the night. Very small swimming pool and no beach-resort, but I was not looking for that either. Very good location near to the main square and shops... More

I stayed two nights and could of stayed for much longer!! The Hotel was beautiful and very clean. I checked in via my tour guide Ornella from my trip to Pompei. All very smooth! My room also backed onto the train line but for me this was not a problem. As a single traveller I found the size of the... More

We had a 2 night stay here and absolutely loved it. You are within walking distance to everything. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was continental , there was plenty to choose from. We had dinner included in our package which was a set menu but again, the variety was good. Some people asked for other choices... We stayed here for four nights and found the hotel to be ideally placed with lovely spacious rooms, our room had a private terrace and our travelling companions had a balcony with a table etc. The rooms were clean and unlike other some other reviewers we found our bathroom to be roomy and clean. The food was fairly plain but... More

Having booked a package deal to Sorrento last year to find the hotel was 10 miles away from the city, we decided we must 'Come Back to Sorrento', but stay centrally this time. Well the Michelangelo is ideally placed, especially as the station is just around the corner and only 2.20 Euros to Herculaneum which was wonderful when we got... More

Rooms smell.... Showers are awful and small. Our shower head was not in a good position but facing out onto the bathroom floor. Located right on the train line which runs from 6am. Cigarette smoke comes through the vents from the terrace. The balcony door completely fell off from the hinges so we were unable to let fresh air in.... More
