My room was more like an apartment than a room! It even had a jacuzzi and large private balcony. It was clean and comfortable, quite and safe. It was on the main road in Sorrento so easy to walk to many shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and I was able to store my luggage after check out.

Visited as part of a European coach tour and I have to say after reading some of the reviews before departure I was a little concerned. However we would not hesitate to stay again, the location is very central to the main area, the hotel is both in public and bedroom areas are kept immaculately clean, with clean linen and... More

Actually stayed here one night on a Viator tour, we were supposed to be at a hotel overlooking the bay but they ran out of rooms, the hotel was neat and clean and it may have worked out better for us as we had a teenager and we were only blocks from the plaza and could walk all over. Across... More

I never write a review but felt I had to say what a wonderful service we received at this hotel and it made a real difference to our holiday experience. We found the hotel very clean and the cleaners came in to clean every day. The staff in every department couldn't do enough for us and were extremely helpful and... More

We chose The Michelangelo based on some previous reviews but I think some of these people stayed at a different hotel. Whilst we agree that it is ideally placed for the town centre and transport links and also that our room was kept very clean, the food which we were served, on the 3 nights we ate there, was terrible.... This hotel is well located to get around the sites and restaurants of Sorrento. The Pizzeria de Franco, loacted almost next door, is a must for a lunch or dinner - but you may have to line up if you don't get there early. There is a second, partly open air restaurant, several doors down from the hotel which is... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Michelangelo Hotel during a Globus Italian tour. The location, convenience, service, and cleanliness of the hotel are the strong points. We felt comfortable and chose to walk around the area of the hotel as everything we needed for this portion of our tour were right there. However, one stays at a hotel for... More

We were in Sorrento in June 2014 with a group of friends approx. 20 of us all up. We all found the staff to be extremely friendly, especially the bar tender John( that's what he called himself), our rooms were great nice and large and clean. Location was excellent. If I ever get the opportunity to go back I would... More

I'll start with the positives - good location, looks nice from the outside, the rooms and en suites are large, has a pool, has wifi (but only in lobby) and it is next door to THE BEST pizza place ever - pizzeria de Franco. Now the downsides - our room (314) stunk really bad! It had a mildew/mouldy smell to... More

Stayed here for two nights while visiting Sorrento. Excellent experience. Very welcoming staff, nice room, and good breakfast. We had a room near the top with a lovely view of the Mediterannean. Location was great ...easy walk to shops and restaurants in Sorrento.
