This hotel has spent a lot of money of visual trappings while skimping on the necessities. Our King Size Bed was two twin mattresses pushed together. The 'shower' had the circumference of the toilet (actually the toilet would have been roomier). The food in the restaurant was horrible. We were served Macaroni and Cheese with Black Pepper as the 'specialty'... More

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. Very well located in the center of city so easy to get to restaurants and shopplng. Excellent breakfast. Did not have a room with a view. Felt very safe here.

Hotel was nice , stayed in room 400 and no concerns with trains there! View was minimal, looking out to the garden, but overall a nice place. Comfy beds and typical breakfast but close to the action of town and I would definitely stay there again!

Stayed here for four nights and found the standard of this hotel very good. The staff could not do enough to help you enjoy your stay. The rooms were spacious and kept very clean with all the items you would expect to find in a hotel of this quality. The food was very good and provided a good choice in... More

Stayed here for a three day break with Travelzoo. Lucky enough to be given a lovely room with private terrace at the front of the hotel. Room, bathroom and bedding immaculately clean and staff were exceptionally helpful. Ideally located for Sorrento and public transport (buses and trains to both The Amalfi Coast and Pompeii) literally round the corner. The only... More

I booked a 3 night stay half board at the Michelangelo Hotel in Sorrento at the end of February. Lovely hotel, great central location. Reception staff extremely professional, friendly, couldn't do enough for you. The waiting staff were in tux and were extremely helpful and made you feel special at mealtimes. All staff were smiley, good humoured, very nice and... More

Great hotel, all staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Helped me with my pronunciation of Itakian, always happy to assist during our stay. The food was superb - breakfast very extensive choice and evening meal always 4 choices per course. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Ideal for walking into Sorrento, and just around the corner from the train station. Breakfast was very good, and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Only downside were walls between some bedrooms were a little thin. I suppose it depends on whether it is a brick or stud wall.

The Michelangelo Hotel appears to be a great hotel -- serviceable enough, in a walkable location from the central train station (Sorrento). Though like the previous reviewer, I found that the hotel employees here make all the difference. I recently stayed here for a long weekend with a group of friends. The staff helped us with every request that our... More
