Where to start with this hotel? I suppose the death march uphill on a busy road with no sidewalk is as good as any? It's a pretty long walk to and from the town center from this hotel. I would highly recommend not staying here if you do not have vehicle (Taxis and Busses are an option as well I... More

Hotel was clean and tidy inside. Breakfast was good. Two things let this hotel down. The front of the hotel is a petrol station which does not give a good first impression of the hotel. The pictures of the premises generally show the rear or are a high view which means you don't see the pumps outside of the reception.... More

This little hotel has a lovely pool which was very quiet when we went in late June 2014. It is up the hill and out of Sorrento so you need to catch a bus from outside the hotel to get into Sorrento. The road is a bit too narrow and dangerous to walk. A taxi from the train station was... More

Stayed for 3 nights at the Villa Igea. Pulling up outside the hotel, first impressions weren't good. However, the rooms were immaculately clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was a buffet, nothing fancy but it was a nice selection. Beautiful building but decor was dated. I got the impression that the hotel is currently being renovated. The location of... More

Recently stayed at the Igea with my wife, son and daughter-in-law for two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful, although the information we were given regarding ferries from Sorrento to Amalfi was incorrect which meant a very eventful bus trip to Positano to catch a ferry there. The rooms were clean although a bit small. The breakfast was simple... More

To the professional moaners: stayed at villa igea from 22 July till the 31 July, and I can honestly say that the hotel, the location and the staff couldn't satisfy me more, everything so perfect! The hotel it's located a short stroll from the over busy sorrento centre,so it was a bless, with bus connections frequent and prompt just outside the hotel front door...as... More

We have just returned from here having spent a week here. Strange looking hotel at first sight with a petrol station right outside the front. On the other hand it's handy for those with cars and this hotel has a underground garage. The rooms are basic but exceptionally clean - excellent cleaning staff. Would have liked tea or coffee brewing... More

The staff was rude and constantly yelling at anyone who had even the slightest bit of their feet on their old dingy chairs. Everything was old, outdated and dirty feeling. The "breakfast" was merely an assortment of bread. The room didn't have a 'do not disturb' sign and we were displeased to find that while we were gone, the cleaning... More

This hotel is some way out of Sorrento on a hillside overlooking the Bay of Naples. My room on the second floor had an excellent view and the room was clean and well presented. The hotel has a bar and pizzeria nearby, but you will have to travel further to find more bars and restaurants. The pool is quite big... More

Our family stayed here for 1 week in July and I don't understand why people are complaining. The rooms are clean with plenty of hot water. The staff could not be more friendly in particular Francisco. We were pleasantly surprised by the food as were other guests we spoke to, no complaints. I think those who were disappointed should pay... More
