We stayed for 8 nights in August having paid about £90 a night for a double room. Most of the reviews seem fair; very good location, helpful staff, rooms cleaned daily, breakfast adequate, pool area quiet. Our only real negative was the bar/pool bar is virtually non existant. There are drinks and a really small range of snacks served but... More

Excelent location, nice pool area, decent rooms. No mini bar in room, wi fi free near reception, near pool and on 1-st floor. Safe with the key???? Does it evenmore exsist ??? Everything feels like it needs a good renovation. Poor breakfast, boiled eggs, salami and cheese, butter and jam - thats it. For coffee you have to wait waiter... More

This is a classic European hotel catering for the middle aged, It, like me, old and tired and has seen better days, very pleasant, clean as a whistle, staff as helpful as can be, WiFi pretty poor (suggest you go by pool and pick up pizza restaurant wifi, it's free) suggest you treat it as you should, it's perfunctory, and... I had an excellent week stay at this hotel, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made my holiday very enjoyable. The breakfast was really good, there was a wide range of food to choose from which was very tasty! The hotel is in a prime location just minutes away from the main square and the views are fantastic... More

We stayed at the Carlton International on a bed and breakfast basis. We has a really lovely stay. We had a twin room on the second floor overlooking the pool. The room was agood size, clean with agood size bathroom. The location was perfect a very short walk to the square and you were in the hubb of everything. Perfect!!!

This hotel looks lovely online but the reality is so different! Breakfast was continental style, which is fine if you like boiled eggs every day, but if you arrived toward the end of the times stated there was very little left! I never once saw the food being replenished and it really was a case of 'first come, first served'.... More

The Hotel photos online are rather deceiving , it's quite a bit older than it looks and like most old Hotels in Italy needs some love and attention ,although the rooms were clean ,the shower was so small you had to get out of the little cubicle if you dropped the soap, and the floor filled up if two people showered... If you wish for your property to be respected and looked after do not stay at this hotel! I stayed at the hotel for a week 04/08 - 04/11 this year. Me and 9 other members of my family stayed at the hotel. The food was average, however the waiters and sorrento it's self made up for any floors with... More

Another hotel that we were very happy with. We booked a three day-two night tour with Odyssey tours in Rome. This tour covered transportation from our hotel in Rome to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri. We spent two nights at the Carlton. It was very good. Breakfast and Dinner were included in the price. Hotel has Wifi only in the... More

This hotel was very disappointing and did not live up to its four star status The bed was extremely uncomfortable with a lumpy, thin mattress. The shower was just a curtain around a shower base that was so small that any movement would result in unwittingly adjusting the water temperature or spilling of water over the floor. In the bathroom,... More
