Just spent 2 weeks in this hotel and what a let down. If you want four star accommodation do not stay here as the interior is tired and in need of complete refurbishment. The beautiful gardens shown in the brochure were overgrown and full of nettles and weeds, if you want to lay out in the sun by the pool... More

Perfectly adequate hotel with attentive, friendly staff; a nice, relaxing bar area and enjoyable breakfasts! This hotel's location could not be any better, being just moments away from the main centre of Sorrento.

Altho the hotel was a bit drab it was quiet, comfortable, very clean, and friendly staff, not for those wanting glitz and glamour. It would have been nice to have tea making facilities. Two minutes walk from the main square. Most enjoyable. Good not to have entertainment teams, can,t do with those self important young people pretending they can entertain.... More

Firstly, I'd like to say, the place is beautiful. Sorrento that is! It is just so lovely. Secondly, ignore every positive thing said by anyone about this hotel because, they clearly have the lowest expectations in a holiday, and, if you're going away for a HOLIDAY then you want to be happy and there are so many lovely hotels to... As our flight was delayed, we did not arrive at the hotel until 1am. We were told the bar was closed and we were unable to get a drink...not even water. (not very international!) We were not too bothered as we thought we would get one in our room. There were no tea/coffee facilities and no mini-bar, in fact there... More

Lovely Hotel. Perfect location. Spotlessly clean, great staff. I cannot believe anyone could criticise this hotel, it is great value. The rooms are large and clean. Breakfast was pastries, cakes, biscuits, boiled eggs, toast, different types of bread, yoghurts, fruits, fruit juices, tea/coffee, cereals. Would definitely stay here again and would strongly recommended. Perfect for nipping back with your shopping... More

just back from sorrento spending two weeks at this hotel . The breakfast was the worst continental breakfast we have ever had. The evening meal was served at the Tasso next door but we had our own menu not the same as Tasso customers. The portions we were given would not feed a child and they charged us five euros for... We originally booked with Hotel Tourist but our booking was transferred to the Carlton a few days before we arrived due to roadworks causing some sort of problem with the rooms. Obviously we were a bit concerned as we weren't sure what to expect but we needn't have worried in the slightest as the Carlton was great value for money!... More

Just back from spending a week at this hotel and I was truly disappointed. Firstly the hotel is not a four star hotel more like a two star. The decor clearly needs changing .The continental breakfast served daily was the same thing everyday, which consisted of tin fruit. The sad thing is the staff that served us was very attentive.... Had previously been to Sorrento and if it hadn't been for the price hike we would have liked to have gone back to the same hotel, however as the budget wouldn't allow this we settled on the Carlton. The room was clean and even though the shower could sometimes be a bit temperamental it was not anything to really complain... More
