This hotel, featured in Rick Steves's Italy book 2013 appears quite satisfied with maintaining the status quo. Aside from the spectacular views, the coffee machine in the breakfast room and the free wifi, there is little else to identify as a positive here. Beds are a cross between an army cot and those found in a federal prison. The non... More

Stayed for seven nights in July. We arrived in the evening in the rain and was a bit disappointed with the look of the hotel as it looked a bit tired and dated. Our room was basic and it seemed a bit of a walk into the centre of Sorrento. However, the next day the sunshine and the view from... More

A lot of the reviews we read before we arrived were spot on, the hotel is dated but clean. The staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is adequate and quite entertaining with the Sal the waiter. The pool is clean and good but it is all about the view! There are a number of hotels 'on the hill'... More

Absolutely stunning views from all parts of this hotel including my bedroom window. Rooftop carpark with elevator access is very handy. Breakfast is fine. It is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre, good for building up an apetite. I would stay here again.

We had 5 nights in a 3 bed room at this hotel. As previously stated it is a family run hotel and the service is second to none. It has been previously stated that the hotel is dated, but I would disagree. It's fine for what you pay. Breakfast was fine and the hotel staff put a fridge in our... More

We had a family room at this hotel for 5 nights in early June - it is a fabulous location on the cliffs overlooking the small fishing harbour of Marina Grand, Sorrento and The Bay of Naples - the hotel is pretty much built in to the cliff so you get great views throughout the hotel. The rooms themselves are... More

This is a family run Hotel where the standard of service is excellent. For example, on arrival we were given a map of Sorrento and were recommended a good local restaurant for dinner. My hold luggage was lost at Naples Airport and the Hotel Reception Staff spent hours trying to get through to the lost and found department to try... More

The photos really can't replicate the view from this hotel...it is exquisite! We booked two nights and were more than happy. We were all smiles upon our arrival from Rome. The rooms are average, but our balcony and the large nice swimming pool more than made up the difference along with a nice breakfast. The beaches and Sorrento piazzas are... More

I knew what I was getting staying here as I had read the reviews beforehand. Having said that the rooms were rather more basic that I was expecting. Stayed in room 6 which has a large balcony but the room itself has a large pillar and the single beds were set at an L shape because of the pillar. This... More

Well, me and my wife have just returned home after our 9th stay at the Hotel Settimo Cielo, next year we will be in double figures. The things that keep drawing us back are the wonderful resort of Sorrento, the location of the hotel, but most of all my wonderful and amazing friend Stefano and his family. I say friend,... More
