Stayed here in October 2015. Staff lovely, very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and pristine. Very conveniently situated, just a few minutes walk from main square. Lots of variety for breakfast. Enjoyed the evening starters menu, but did struggle with main course. However starters on same size plate as main meal, so enough for me.

Floors are tile and noise moves from room to room. Location about 1/3 mile from downtown Sorrento. Outside noise minimal. Close to train station if you arrive by train. food in restaurant is adequate, but not anything to write home about.

We stayed here for 8 nights as part of a tour. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Note that in October there is no air conditioning. Fortunately we did not need it that badly. Opening the door to the little balcony did the trick. There is no Kleenex in the room, or hand cream. The bars of soap are... More

My title lists the advantages of this hotel -- large rooms, comfortable beds, about a 3-minute walk from the Piazza Tasso, about a 10 minute walk to the cliff-front and the elevator to the Marina Grande, a 5 minute walk to the Circumvesuviana train which will take you to Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and points in between). My room had a... More

This was our third stay at Cesare Augusto, the hotels location has to be one of the best in Sorrento, the room we stayed in was on the 4th floor overlooking the main road which was good and comfortable, the air conditioning was very good during the heatwave we encountered 24th July to 7th August, the beds were good and... This hotel is nicely situated on the hill and within easy walking district of the bustling town. The room itself was well presented, reasonably clean and had a spacious balcony. However the shower (over the bath) didn't drain, the TV was at least 25 years old, small and had very limited channels, the fridge didn't work, the bathroom ceiling was... More

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. It is in a brilliant location near the centre of Sorrento. Very handy for the bus and train station too (2 blocks away). The hotel is clean and the staff, without exception, were the best we have ever met in a hotel. They could not do enough for you and were very... More

Stayed for 3 nights with an Insight Tour. The hotel is very central to all Sorrento has to offer. The room was old style traditional Italian with a tiled floor. bathroom and small balcony. The bar and restaurant were lovely with very polite and courteous staff. The breakfast buffet was varied and they had a small rooftop pool with wonderful views.

We found this hotel to be very relaxing. Great roof top pool with beautiful views. Rooms were nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. A few minute walk to the train station. Just downhill was a main plaza with great food and activities. I will stay here again when fortunate enough o get back to Sorrento.

The hotel is very close to the station and town so ideal location for trips. We had a room on the fifth floor which has a sea view. The room was a a good size with a round table and two chairs. Air conditioning effective and quiet. Balcony reasonable size although we tended to sit up on the roof sun... More
