We chose this hotel because of it's location overlooking Vesuvius and proximity to the town, we were not disappointed. Our room was really spacious with a huge bed. The staff were informative and very friendly. We only had two dinners there and the food was really good, the choice for breakfast was outstanding which we ate on the lovely terrace,... More

I have stayed in many hotels in Sorrento, but Europa palace is my favourite! Very fine style and full of class! The staff is nice and they make you feet at home! The director "il profesore " is a grate man! The view, the food, the service, the rooms and location makes it perfect!

We went as part of a very good value, excellent trip with Riviera. The tours etc were astoundingly good. This hotel has two good points. Its central location to beautiful Sorrento, Its views over the bay of Vesuvius at breakfast. That's it! If you choose to stay here eat out in the town and don't buy overpriced wine with dinner.... The hotel`s location is its very best feature. Fabulous views and shabby chic lend it a type of charm, not to mention that it is central to the town. A room with a view of Vesuvius is a must otherwise you will be consigned to views of a coach park! Our room had a terrace which was marvellous. The staff... More

Married my wife in sorrento on 3rd October 2014. Had an amazing time. Had the ceremony in the church garden (cloisters) then hired the White train ride to the hotel mediterraneo where we had apéritifs on the sky bar with 360 pan views, amazing!! Then had our dinner down by the pool area of the hotel. Perfect day in a... More

If you want modern character lacking accommodation this is not for you. This hotel offers superb accommodation overlooking the bay of Naples. We upgraded to a room with a view and had a fantastic room with three small balconies, a large bathroom (inc bath) and a three piece suite. Towels were replaced at least twice a day. The restaurant staff... More

A tired dated hotel, we went for a family wedding, we felt because we were not Italian we were not treated as well as Italians' the wedding food was rushed, we were ushered to terrace after meal for cutting of the cake, the staff cleared all the tables, threw all the drink away and basically brought an end to the... This hotel would have gotten 5 start from me if the room itself had been a bit newer. The good stuff: service was excellent (they organized a trip to Capri for my wife and me, they helped us with our trip to Naples airport - take the bus, and our Amalfi trip, and restaurant reservations), breakfast was excellent, overlooking the... This is a traditional hotel with views across the bay of Naples to Vesuvius. It has large elegant public rooms and a wonderful terrace overlooking the sea. We stayed for 7 nights on a half board basis and had a room in the main hotel. The room was very spacious with large wardrobe space, comfortable bed and a very large... More

Obviously my review is based somewhat on the fact we got a superb deal and then to top that, were upgraded due to it being a quiet period. (late October) The room's balcony is to die for, facing the terrace and sea, the breakfasts included everything, the marble hallways and floors hark back to the Dolce Vita era, nice touches... More
