This wonderful hotel, with its bright and airy rooms, hangs out over the sea only a short walk from the bustling downtown of Sorrento. The open rooftop bar and restaurant is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The staff is naturally friendly and the food is delicious. One of my favorite stays, ever.

Hotel Minerva is fabulous! You must read the prior reviews--they are right on target! We stayed in room 712, with a spectacular view of Mount Vesuvius in the distance--very nice! We arrived tired the first day and decided to just relax at the hotel, dinning outside, overlooking the water, and, of course, Mount Vesuvius--a delicious meal, and so very attentive... More

The staff where very friendly and you can get cocktails by the pool. I liked the food too, did not have one bad meal. Italian hotels seem mostly to include dinner. The rooms are comfortable. I have no complaints, if you want nearby attractions go to herculim, pompie, cassorta or a cruise around the island Capri.

When you arrive at this hotel, there is an attractive foyer, but no reservation counter. You call up using the phone at the left of the entry, and then go up the elevator to the 5th floor, which is where the lobby is. Our room was on the second floor, and we had a time remembering to go up for... More

We have just returned from a weeks stay - the view across the bay was spectacular, the service and food was outstanding. An ideal place to base your holiday along the Amalfi coast - we did our own trips to Capri (ferry), Ercolano (train) and Positano (bus) - saved a fortune on organised trip prices. The location of the hotel... More

Having deliberated about whether to book a different hotel right in the centre of Sorrento, I'm really glad that we decided to stay at the Minerva. The view across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius is simply stunning and I can safely say that I'd never get bored of it. We walked to and from the centre of Sorrento many... More

I can't fault this hotel. Had a fantastic week here with my 80 yr old mother and we both agreed it was the best place we had ever stayed. The location, breathtaking views, perfect service, and excellent food. I loved the waiter service for dinner (being somewhat disabled can make buffets difficult) and my mum loved being greeted by name... More

Arrived at the hotel just past midnight, very pleasantly surprised to find that they'd prepared a lovely two course meal for our arrival. The room was modern, comfortable and with an awe inspiring view of Sorrento, out over the sea and Mt Vesuvius looming on the horizon. The service was by far the best I have ever received. All of... I am staying here with my son. Chose it for the panoramic views and beautiful terraces. We arrived very late at night and were amazed to find they had laid out a two course meal for our arrival. The twin room was very modern, spacious and very clean with a lovely window seat looking out over the bay of naples.... More
