Great location, 10 mins walk to town, breathtaking views, well presented rooms but it stops there. They state in their hotel service guide, bathroom tap water not drinkable - yet they do not provide a daily complimentary bottle of water to compensate for this shortfall. One would expect this as the norm for a 4 star hotel or any hotel... more

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Capodimonte and it was definitely the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Excellently positioned - just a 10 minute walk at the most to the main Piazza Tasso and a further 5 mins to the train station. The views as mentioned previously were amazing. The rooms were of a... more

We went to the Capodimonte as we had visited Italy in the Tuscany area last year and had a most wonderful time. The hotel had been sold to us due to its 4 star standards and fantastic position. I would say after a week there the only plus point is the position which is fantastic for the views of the... more

This is a very attractive Hotel, very unusual in its layout, as it is set in a cliff side. My daughter and I had a room with partial sea view, which had huge plants just outside the terrace which obscured the beautiful view of sorrento, when I asked at reception if there was any chance of a better room they... more

We stayed at the hotel at the end of April early May and I have to say that as a value for money hotel this is not it. We queued every day for a table for both breakfast and dinner which for a hotel of this class we considered really poor. The waiting staff seem to have worked out some... more

We have just returned from our wedding/honeymoon in Sorrento, we stayed at the Capodimonte and had our wedding reception there too, it was fantastic! We were treated like royalty on our special day, the food and drink was out of this world. The hotel is without a doubt top quality and the service is very good. The service in the... more

My husband and I, just got back from a week in Sorrento. We found this hotel very clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. On first arrival it is a bit of a maze but it is really well laid out. We found the choice of food good with no repetition throughout the week. Service was a bit slow but... more

We stayed at the Hotel Capodimonte and after reading some of the reviews were a bit apprehensive to say the least, as although only staying for a week it was not a cheap holiday. Much to our relief we did not need to worry at all and had a great stay during our time there. Our flight was delayed which... more

Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very nice general areas, food good. Waiters try hard but dinner service is S L O W. No way of getting through fast unless you miss out loads of it. People waiting outside restaurant from 7.30 to be seated which shows the whole thing is not set up for the numbers they have booked in,... more

We only stayed here for one night, but found the hotel to be very nice. Our room was large, clean, and had a great view of the water. A short walk into Sorrento (but not if you're hauling luggage). more
