We stayed at the Grand hotel capodimonte for 1 week in april 08 to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. The hotel was fantastic! Rooms spotless clean with fresh linen daily. The food was fantastic and staff in restaurant were very friendly and helpful- lots of choice- even for breakfast and we were never rushed , even in the busy mornings.... more
My husband and I stayed in the Grand Hotel Capodimonte in Sorrento for our Honeymoon four years ago, returned the next year and have just booked to go back again this year..and we can't wait. Of course the service can be a tad 'huffy', but that's just Italians (I know my dad is from Naples and half my are family... more
We booked through Airtours and booked a seaview room for our wedding anniversary. We weren't disappointed the room was beautiful with exceptional views over the bay. The hotel staff were friendly and the food at breakfast and in the evening was superb. We were worried about going half board as we'd never done this before but we needn't have been... more
We just returned from 8 days in Sorrento. After much searching, we had decided to stay at the Grand Hotel De La Ville. Unfortunately it was vaction time in England and the hotel was full of noisy children running the hallways at any time of the night and causing noise in the room above us. We requested a change the... more
We went to Sorrento and stayed at the Capodimonte the last week of our 2 week honeymoon. I was unsure after we booked because the reviews were mixed! BUT it was absolutley the best! We booked a deluxe plus room, with a beautiful seaview and outdoor porch. We slept with the sliding door open every night. The hotel itself was... more
We arrived late to be informed of the cold buffet awaiting us in the restaurant. Were not told exactly where this was. Were amazed to find that we were the only two and practically every other table had the same plates of food wrapped in clingfilm - no waiters, no signs. All felt a bit isolated and somehow wrong. The... more
After visiting the hotel 15 years ago we loved it so much that we returned there twice more the next year. This October we returned again to find the rooms were much the same and the view magnificent. But what a difference in the staff. Some of the waiters really couldn't care less if you are there or not and... more
This hotel has some of the best views I have ever come across in Europe. But the Grand Hotel Capodimonte is not really good for people who seek value for money. We orginally booked to stay at the Grand hotel de la Ville as a big wedding party but was pleasantly "bounced" into the Capodimonte due to overbooking at the... more
We stayed her for our honeymoon from 24th Sept until 5th October. The hotel was lovely. The staff where amazing (especially the waiters ) The reception staff where very helpful, (I was ill for the first few days and asked them read translate some tables I purchased from the chemist). After that she remembered me and always asked how I... more
