I have just returned from 10 days in Italy, spending 4 nights at the Capodimonte. It was easy to find and we were able to get parked right outside the hotel and were met by a friendly porter. The hotel was lovely, very Italian! If you like big resort 'sandals' type hotel then this probably won't be for you, but... more

Both my husband and I had never been to Italy before and all I can say is we yearn every day since our return to go back. The hotel is perfect and worthy of a five start status. We recently returned from tenerife and stayed in a 4 star hotel that wouldn't ever touch the high standards of this hotel.... more

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Capodimonte for two weeks in October 2008 during which we were married at the Cloisters. I found out such a lot from other couples getting married in Sorrento about the hotels they were staying in, and found that we were definitely in the best. Luxurious hotel with breathtaking views. 5 minutes... more

We stayed here for 3 nights with a sea view room and had requested a quiet room. The room was nicely appointed, with tiled floors and marble in the bathroom. Minus points - no coffee making facilities in the room, and note "forbidding" you to use the mini-bar fridge for your own drinks, which we of course ignored. Smallish balcony,... more

Stayed 2 weeks (travelled with First Choice - Thomsons). First room was No 209, part sea view with no balcony, exactly what we had paid for. However, after a couple of days, noticed cloths and bed linen damp and mould on walls. Changed to no 318 - much better, again part sea view and no balcony. Both rooms in old... more

We recommend this hotel very highly. We would like to give a particular mention to the Manager, Mr Giuseppe Vespoli, who corresponded and advised us about all our travel arrangements - taxis, hotels etc, before we left England. We had not travelled to that part of Southern Italy before and had many reservations, which he allayed personally in telephone and... more

When we booked our room we were aware that it would not have a sea view but we were not expecting to open our doors onto a grey concrete wall. Unfortunately this means that at no time during the day there is any natural sunlight - infact it was the worst "view" we have ever had. The one "advantage" of... more

We stayed at this hotel for one week in June, having booked a package holiday. On leaving the hotel I left written feedback with the hotel. Sadly, although this hotel has many positive features I cannot recommend it for a restful holiday, or indeed if you wish to get a full nights sleep (as most people do on holiday). The... more

Just lovely. Position takes up the cliff side and spread on many floors making for interesting design. Most rooms have sea view. And wow what a view. High standard all round. High enough from the road to be peaceful. Enjoyed the Gala Buffet meal on our last night. Restaurant overlooked the Bay of Naples and even when there was a... more

From the moment we arrived the staff were very good friendly and attentive, the staff at reception alway's helping with all of our request's, the bar staff never rushed us late at night and were alway's willing to stay as long as we did... more
