This was the first, and one of the best, hotels that I (26) and my mom (60) stayed in on our 5-week trip to Europe. Although on the "main drag" in Sorrento, it is a little difficult to find, especially at night. However, once found, it is magnificent. There is a great breakfast, including yogurt, cereal, fruit, various breads, delicious... More

What a cute place this was. The rooms are covered in very colorful tiles, there are huge plasma TV's in the rooms, and the breakfast presentation was the nicest that I saw in my travels. From the moment you check in, you can tell that the staff here really cares about your experience. The lady at the front desk took... More

I had a reservation made almost a year in advance, and confirmed a month in advance, in writing. We arrived and were told we would be going somewhere else as there was no room available for us. We could see everything that had made me want to book and enjoy Casa Astarita, and that was really disappointing. People were enjoying... More

The B & B was extremely nice, though we had a problem with doublebooking and we had no choice but to relocate to a sister hotel. That was annoying and we were unimpressed by ownership's unaccomodating demeanor. However, we did receive a very, very small discount for our troubles. The B & B was centally located, providing a short walk... More

I stayed with a friend in the Classica room at the Casa Astarita for 16 nights in April. It was, in a word, delightful. The staff and the accommodations are beyond wonderful. Everyone was kind and helpful and the property itself is quaint, clean, and truly feels like (a) home (away from home). The breakfast was filling and there was... More

I stayed with my family at Casa Astarita last summer, and I can't say enough good things about it. The rooms were cozy and cute, and the location is ideal. Maybe other hotels are closer to the water, but it's not like the beach in Sorrento is anything to write home about anyways. I loved being on the pedestrian street... More

We also stayed in October, possibly dined with 'What am I missing.' (A nice group of Americans) We found Casa Astarita well located, great value for money and it met with all our requirements. The free email facility was a real bonus, the well stocked communal kitchen proved to work better than we initialy thought it would. Our double glazed... More

For the life of me I cannot understand the high ratings for this place. Except for price it has little to offer. On the plus side: it is nice to stay with a family. Dad and Mom own this large building (purchased by her Grandmother) that houses, on the ground floor, both a salumeria (deli) and a beautiful gift shop... More

Booking at Casa Astarita... simple (credit card info via email). Finding Casa Astarita... not so simple. The map on their website is inaccurate. We walked around for nearly an hour trying to find it. But once we did, we forgot all about lugging our bags around in the Sorrent heat. We stayed in the "Magic" room. It is large with... More
