Magical little place. Beautifully detailed bedrooms, finished extremely well. Great for people watching on the balcony, yet felt private and sound proof once the doors are closed at night. Decent breakfast with good service. Well worth a stay.

We had a great two-week stay at Casa Astarita. The location couldn't be better. It is located on Sorrento's main street, right in the middle of all the action. At night, the street is closed to motor traffic and many street performers come out to entertain tourists and locals who gather to walk up and down the street. Casa Astarita... More

This place is not a hotel, but a B&B. So the quality of the breakfast matters. This pace gives maybe one of the most memorable ones. the location is excellent , place is clean, service is friendly. The only downsides for people with mobility problems...... lots of stair climbing is required in this building

I purposely requested for a room facing the front and although we could hear the noise from the bars and restaurants (no vehicles in the evening) we slept well, probably because we always came back tired from the day's full activities. Nevertheless, I like to hear the vibrancy of a town no matter the time of day. The owner Ana... More

I am currently staying at this B&B it is 12.10am. After speaking with the B&B management asking to change rooms, I was told there were none available and to find other accommodation as we could not sleep due to the unbelievably loud music from the English inn next door. I wish I could record the volume as it is too... More

We booked this place for 4 nights based on Rick Steves recommendation. We checked in and tried to over look some things as being "old world charm", like lugging your luggage up 3 flights of stairs and mold in the bathroom. The tub or sink would not drain but the realy problem was when my daughter used our room key... More

Communal breakfast from 7-11am was a great way to find out what other travellers were doing in Sorrento. The 2 ladies taking care of the place were extremely friendly, and our room was clean and well appointed. Bonus marks for iPod Dock and AppleTV in the room.

From when we entered the internal courtyard we were seduced by the quirky Italian feel of this place. The Astarita is upstairs, and we had a double room looking out over the central shopping street. The room was spacious, spotless, and the ensuite shower room was recently decorated and excellent. We were not troubled with noise if we closed the... More

Casa Astarita is an easy walk from the train station and a great location for touring Sorrento. The room we had was perfect for three with a view of the street and any noise from street was easily quieted by closing the windows. Alfonso helped us find and booked a boat tour of the Amalfi Coast which was fabulous and... More
