I stayed with my family at La Tonnarella in early May. It's a beautiful hotel with its own beach. We ended up having to switch rooms and I was equally happy with both; both rooms had breathtaking views of the ocean and the shoreline of Sorrento. The staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, helping us plan trips... More

Hotel itself seems promising and that is why I booked it... and oh my, that is when the trouble started! After over a week they came back to me with error on they part that they have overbooked the sea view rooms... with response - when and if anything will become available they will allocate it for me! And that... More

We hired the junior suite room 24 and it was stunning decorated like a roman villa with huge bed on a raised platform above a sizeable sitting area. The bathroom was luxurious with a large deep jacuzzi with piwer shower and the suite had a corner position outlook with stunning views of the bay of naples and of sorrento and... More

Great little find just outside Sorrento. By far the best position for a great view looking down onto the bay. Room was lovely with a balcony. Staff very accommodating. Had the best bruchette ever and an amazing lobster pasta dish for main. The hotel has a lift that takes you down to the private beach . Well worth the effort.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July 2014. The room had spectacular views over Sorrento and across to Naples. We had our own private balcony with deck chairs looking over the bay to Naples and a smaller balcony with table and chairs that overlooked Sorrento bay and town. The hotel has its own private beach which is... More

This boutique hotel is full of old Italian charm. The lobby is cozy and includes a small bar to enjoy some spirits while drinking in the gorgeous view of the Bay of Naples. Wood and wrought iron accents, tastefully decorated throughout. It could use some sprucing up so it's a bit shabby-chic but I wouldn't exactly classify it as run... More

I stayed here as a single traveller for two days in July this year; my reason for coming to Sorrento was that I had booked a day trip to Capri - otherwise, Sorrento is not my idea of a great place to stay as it is crammed full of foreign tourists in the summer and, even though that's what I... Hotel La Tonnarella in Sorrento was amazing. The room we received was more like a house. It contained a large study, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a privet garden with seating facilities, a lower level that contained a bathroom and a huge Jacuzzi or maybe I should say – a small swimming pool. The hotel is located on a mountain looking... More

The views from the hotel are amazing, maybe the best in Sorrento, but that is what you are paying for here. Our biggest complaint was the noise. Doors slam all day long. It sounds like you are staying with 100 angry teenagers. We could also hear anytime anyone above, below or next to us moved their balcony furniture. The room... More
