We booked a junior suite 18 months before travelling. Upon arrival, the room didn't quite match the photograph in the brochure, however the room was still very nice. Very spacious, high ceilings, large bathroom. The view was simply stunning, we had a small balcony (enough to get 2 chairs on). We overlooked the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The hotel... More

The hotel was located just a few blocks off the main square away from all the noise, but close enough to get to the restaurants and shopping. The hotel grounds were lovely as were the common areas. The hotel sits right on the cliff at the water's edge with beautiful views. They have a special elevator that takes you straight down... More

The first impression was good. Smart building surrounded by lush Mediterranean gardens. However, on arriving at reception, the attitude is one of slight arrogance and is not as friendly as I would like. We arrived at about 11am and were told that our room would not be ready until 2pm. This was not what we wanted to hear after leaving... More

We booked this for our 3 yr wedding annviersary so decided to splash out a little. The hotel is in the best location of Sorrento - a street away from all restaurants and in a quieter corner. We had views over the sea and b/c the room was carved into the cliff we had no sun coming into our room... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in September. The hotel was an easy walk from the train station and was well signposted. We had planned on taking a taxi, but we noticed the sign posts and decided to try the walk and found the hotel easily. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the garden and was lovely, light... The Hotel is ideally located close to the main square in Sorrento and is only a 5/10 minute walk from the train station (but bear in mind when carting suitcases, that Sorrento is a hilly town, with tight winding streets). It is an old hotel that has been here for 100+ years so don't expect the modern minimalist design. The... More

I ate at this restaurant inside. The food was alright, better places to eat in sorrento. But the service was excellent and we loved our waitors! So friendly!! The pasta was delicious but was a little disappointed with the fish we ordered. Would love to stay in the hotel.

Arrived at the Tramontano on the 25th September to celebrate a special birthday. Upon arrival we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. The room was wonderful with views across the bay of Naples. The Management and Staff were attentive and service was first class, nothing proved to be too much trouble. A big thank you for making our stay... More

Fantastic location. Very very clean room. Beautiful gardens and grounds and pool ; our room had a private terrace. Beautiful views from the common terrace and restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous! My only complaint is that the bed was hard...but this seems typical of many Italian hotels. Very nice to come back to a cool room after long warms days of trekking.
