This hotel is fantastic. First, you can't beat the location. Right on the cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius and steps from the shops of Sorrento. Nothing is more than a 10 minute walk in town including the train/bus station. The hotel and grounds are exquisite. The staff was wonderful. Our seaview room was small, but you couldn't... more

I reserved directly from the hotel website; had a couple of questions via email; response was prompt (as opposed to my possible other choice, hotel delle Mura, who has not replied to my emails yet). Stayed only one night on april 4th, 2008. Double room # 530, with (breathless) bay view. I'm sure that the other rooms are pleasant too... more

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights from the 22nd March - 27th March. We had a lovely room and I thoroughly recommend paying extra for a bay view. The views were fantastic, the rooms were beautifully furnished, although the beds are very hard and dreadfully uncomfortable.. The rooms were cleaned every morning and the beds were turned down... more

Wonderful hotel, ideally located on the water as well as 5 minutes from the city center where all the wonderful restaurants and shops can be found. They have water access from the cliff above where the hotel is located down to the water through a very old passage way cut through the rock. There are many places to lounge in... more

The Hotel Tramontano was spectacular! We got a double room with a sea view. There were 3 of us women sharing the rooms. The rooms both had doors that opened to our full terrace that overlooked the Mediteranean Sea and the beaches. The hotel has an elevator that takes you down to the beach or you walk in their private... more

We stayed at the Tramontano for one week to celebrate my husband's "special" birthday. I had corresponded with the hotel by email and received delightful emails from Luigi who was very obliging with my requests. I had booked a Senior Suite (216) which was amazing ! Wonderful lounge, huge bathroom and upstairs bedroom with balcony. The views of Vesuvius and... more

I can not say enough about Hotel Tramontano... We enjoyed a two week vacation visiting various cities throughout Italy (namely Venice, Florence, Sorrento, and Rome). While we were fortunate to have been pleased by all the properties we selected, our 4 night stay at the Tramontano was unmatched. First, let me say a word about Sorrento... it is a stunning... more

Just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. We booked directly with hotel but noted Thompson holidays use it for their package holidays. Outside the hotel had a four star rating but having stayed in a five star in Ravello this property is only three star but as written else where the location is fantastic. We where alocated... more
