Just returned from Sorrento and I have to say that the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori is by far the best Hotel we've stayed at. How this Hotel is number 11 on trip advisor is a mystery the quality and finish is amazing please take the time to look around. The dining room and bar area is floor to ceiling marble and... More

My daughter booked this hotel because of it closeness to her wedding venue. She booked a lovely room for the first three days and then upgraded to a suite for the night before the wedding and her wedding night and the remaining 4 nights, emailing then to say that this was to facilitate the suite being more roomy for her... The hotel is very elegant and classic. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We had a room facing the road right opposite the football stadium, it had a small balcony. You can hear road noise from outside but at night if you close the shutters completely three noise is eliminated and allows a good nights sleep. Breakfast is nice... More

There were 6 of us staying here in May 2015 as my daughter was getting married in Sorrento (the ceremony was at the Cloisters with a reception at the Villa Antiche Mura). We had arranged for a hairdresser to come to her room a few days before the wedding for a practice, unfortunately the reception staff would not let her... More

We have just returned form a holiday to Sorrento ( 12th June -19th), we booked through Citalia, via our local Thompson agents office ( who are a total shower, and we will never use again - EVER) We sat in the office and showed the agent the room we wanted - a deluxe room with sea view.. we were assured... An absolute classic hotel at the start of the Amalfi coast. We have stayed numerous times at this hotel and it never ever fails to charm us time and again. The hotel and it's staff from housekeeping to servers, to the front desk are all hospitality professionals! We stayed for nine days this trip and would have stayed for many... More

Worth paying the extra for a sea view room to enjoy the views of the bay, although the hotel restaurant and terrace offer the same view for free. The view from the restaurant at dinner is fantastic, but you need to go early (or after 9pm) to get a table right at the front. For the price this is a... More

Spent a long weekend here recently in a partial sea view room and really couldn't find fault with anything. If you were minded you could probably get away without ever leaving the hotel grounds if you wanted as it is so relaxing. The hotel sits on top of the cliffs just before you enter central Sorrento. The room & bathroom... More

We stayed here for a week on our honeymoon in June. The hotel is of a very high standard and the atmosphere is old school elegance. The views from the rear of the hotel over the sea are stunning, and we loved the bathing area and cliff side bar, accessed via the cliff lift. The breakfast was very good. However,... More

Have recently returned from a 6 night holiday at this hotel. The reception staff gave us a very warm welcome. We arrived very early and therefore our room was not ready. However, we spent a few hours at the poolside restaurant having lunch and admiring the stunning views. We did eat dinner in the restaurant on a few occasions and... More
