Staying here is a real holiday - cares vanish along with the clock. You only have to consider where you want to eat (the patio, restaurant or in town), where you want to swim (the pool or the sea-level dock), where you want to read (the garden or the lobby), where you want your aperativo (the inside bar or the... It's almost a shame we spent so much time out and about sight seeing and didn't get a chance to fully enjoy what this hotel has to offer! We spent 4 nights here in May 2015 (couple - early 30s). Well presented hotel with lovely elegant décor - the rooms are spacious and have all the essentials. We booked a... More

Spacious room with fantastic view over the Bay from our terrace. Staff very helpful and attentive, beautiful gardens and terraces overlooking the Bay. Lovely to sit and watch the sun go down whilst having a cool drink or evening meal.

We would probably never have booked this hotel on our usual budget but stayed here on our honeymoon. The location is unbeatable--our patio (with jacuzzi) had a panoramic ocean view. The room was beautiful, spotless with tile floors and a lovely seating area. All hotel staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. The on site restaurants are quite good... More

Just returned from Sorrento and I have to say that the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori is by far the best Hotel we've stayed at. How this Hotel is number 11 on trip advisor is a mystery the quality and finish is amazing please take the time to look around. The dining room and bar area is floor to ceiling marble and... More

My daughter booked this hotel because of it closeness to her wedding venue. She booked a lovely room for the first three days and then upgraded to a suite for the night before the wedding and her wedding night and the remaining 4 nights, emailing then to say that this was to facilitate the suite being more roomy for her... The hotel is very elegant and classic. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We had a room facing the road right opposite the football stadium, it had a small balcony. You can hear road noise from outside but at night if you close the shutters completely three noise is eliminated and allows a good nights sleep. Breakfast is nice... More

There were 6 of us staying here in May 2015 as my daughter was getting married in Sorrento (the ceremony was at the Cloisters with a reception at the Villa Antiche Mura). We had arranged for a hairdresser to come to her room a few days before the wedding for a practice, unfortunately the reception staff would not let her... More

We have just returned form a holiday to Sorrento ( 12th June -19th), we booked through Citalia, via our local Thompson agents office ( who are a total shower, and we will never use again - EVER) We sat in the office and showed the agent the room we wanted - a deluxe room with sea view.. we were assured... An absolute classic hotel at the start of the Amalfi coast. We have stayed numerous times at this hotel and it never ever fails to charm us time and again. The hotel and it's staff from housekeeping to servers, to the front desk are all hospitality professionals! We stayed for nine days this trip and would have stayed for many... More
