“Casa Gilda made us feel like Marina Grande locals”

The location is super just above the harbor where there is always activity to mesmerize you after a long day touring. Private yachts dock just below alongside local fisherman which you can watch unload their sardines all from the window or the terrace. The house itself is small but comfortable and since we are two teenage girls plus parents, the two full bathrooms were much appreciated. The real highlight though is the rooftop terrace. It's small but contains a table for four and chairs. We at all our breakfasts up there and the dinners we stayed in for. Take-out pizza is available 3 minutes walk away for easy dinners on the terrace. All other conveniences like small grocery, fruit and vegetable stand, great local family seafood and pasta restaurant are just all just outside the door. The Sorrento town center is about a 12 minute walk up a minor grade through a pleasant residential area or, depending upon which route you take, past many little shops. Everything in the house... We truly loved our stay at Casa Gilda!! We could not have asked for a better location - to see the sun set on the water each night with the beach below us, and the center of town just a short walk away. The location was so perfect that several people stopped by the house to inquire about renting it while we were there! It was very comfortable for all 4 of us, with two full bathrooms and generally plenty of space. Bruno could not have been more helpful. In addition to recommending restaurants and places to go (all of which were wonderful), he also took us on a private boat tour around Capri, explaining what everything was and enabling us to enjoy a perfect day on and around the island. We can't wait to go back!! More
