It is without a doubt the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in, the view from my room and the terrace were unforgetable The food, both at the lovely buffet breakfast ( which kept me going most of the day), and the evening meal were cooked to perfection by Dino and his family. My room was very large, quiet and... more

Our family of 3 stayed 8 nights at the Il Nido. I selected the hotel based on the raving reviews on TripAdvisor and I was not disappointed. The hotel owners, Mama the matriarch, Dino, Gianni, Candida and Marisa run a very honnest business together and very well indeed. Nello the shuttle driver is a sweet soul. The room is spacious,... more

Our stay at Il Nido was all that we expected. The view was best. We were a little concerned that we had to take the bus or the hotel van to go in town. However, the hotel van goes to town very often and it was great to off the bus from Rome and just call them to get us.... more

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Couple of highlights... 1. Food - Best breakfast during our 2 weeks in Italy. Buffet breakfast - hot and cold meats, scrambled eggs, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, fruit and large assortment of breads and danishs. They have an orange juice machine that you input whole oranges in and get freshly squeezed orange... more

Having read the reviews on trip advisor before we booked our family holiday to Sorrento, I am sad to say the reviews just don't do this hotel justice. The wonderful family that run this hotel and work unbelievably hard always ensured our stay was enjoyable. Deano, the main man doesn't seem to stop working, and has a fantastic hotel. The... more

We thought long and hard about where to stay in Sorrento as it was our first visit to Italy apart from Rome. I know a lot of people will think that this hotel is out of town and it may be a mistake, but you would be wrong. Sorrento is not a great town at night, it is overpriced for... more

We stayed here for a week, which wasn't long enough to do everything we wanted to. The hotel is located on the hillside overlooking Sorrento and from our bed we had a view of mount Vesuvius. We found the hotel nice and quiet at night and the layout means the bedrooms stay cool. The distance from the town is not... more

We stayed 1 night at Il Nido, our first night in Italy in the Amalfi coast region. Upon arrival to the Sorrento train station, we called the hotel & the van picked us up within 15 minutes. Rooms were clean & modest, this is not a luxury hotel, but for the price was well worth it. The van service to... more
