We stayed for 3 nights. The place is nice, clean. Breakfast was good. Giorgio and his mother are affables and the atmosphere is homely. Location, as a start point for Sorrento or Amalfi coast is good.

Clean and comfortable. This is the perfect place to launch a Sorrentine Adventure from! Day trips to Positano, Amalfi (I loved this trip), Ravello (breath taking views) as well as in to Sorrento and Capri. This is in a small town in the hills of Sant Agnello (Sorrento) that has panoramic views of the towns below, the neighboring mountains and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2012. Located in a small village a few miles from Sorrento, this is as close to a real local Italian experience as you can get. If you do not have a car just be aware that even though there is a bus stop in front, it was not 100% reliable. That said,... More

We were so well taken care of by the whole family. Zia Piera and Mamma Maria picked us up at the train station, stopping to give us time for a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background. Maria, Giorgio's mother, made delicious breakfast everyday which included homemade pastry. She even packed us coffee in a... More

We recently stayed here for six days, and loved every minute. We actually were only planning on staying three days, and loved it so much that we extended our stay another 3 days. While do you need a car to stay here, it's completely worth it, for the genuine Italian family home experience, the lovely accommodations and view, the to-die... More

A lovely place, off the beaten track in a small village. Great place to explore the amalfi coast . Stay here only if you have a car . It can be quite difficult if one has to rely on public transport. Giorgio, the dentist who runs the B& B was helpful and the room was lovely. Cosy and with beautuful... More

Accommodation: If you want to get away from the touristy part of Sorrento and have a more authentic Italian experience, then Il Tulipano is a good choice. It's also good value for money. However, if you prefer the anonymity of staying in a hotel, then this is not the place for you. We stayed for 4 nights in September 2011... More

Il Tulipano is a small, pretty, bright and very clean B&B in a little village on a hillside above Sorrento. From the beginning of our 5-day stay when Giorgio met us at the train station and drove us up the hill, we were treated wonderfully by him, his mom and his aunt. Giorgio provided us with a map and detailed... More

From my initial booking query Georgio went out of his way to be helpful. He met us at the train station and drove us up the mountain to the B&B in a small village - a lovely quiet haven to return to after our days out exploring the tourist spots along the Amalfi coast and surrounds. The B&B was bright... More

Lets start with the PDF of directions with photos, don't you wish everyone would do this? Made our trip in to the B and B a breeze (make sure to print these from the web site or get them on your IPhone etc). Georgo was there to greet us, show us our room, with helpful recommendations for touring the area... More
