I enjoyed this hotel. My room was renovated and very comfortable. All of the staff were really pleasant and helpful. The WIFI worked great. The breakfast is a typical continental one, although it did seem to me that every time I went there, they were out of food. But the food that was there was good. I think Salerno is... More

We accidentally stayed in this hotel since the hotel we had booked cancelled our reservation for no reason! Anyway,Montestella is a 3star hotel right in the center of salerno. Great location, not bad hotel. The reception man could be a little bit more polite..and smiley. All in all a good choice for someone that doesnt look for luxury.

The room itself was very basic and there wasn't an in room safe however it more than made up for this with the excellent service, the great breakfast and view, and the location of the Hotel which was right in the centre. The room was large, clean with a good shower but it was quite dark and the wi-fi signal... More

The classic, "you get what you pay for"! The tiny room smells like a dirty ash tray, the bed is like a slab of stone, the only bathroom amenity is a 1950's hair dryer and the wifi doesn't work in the room. There's no parking or doorman, so one must lug their luggage down the street like a homeless person... More

The staff was great- we asked to be moved because one of our three beds was a pull out chair. They moved us to a larger room for no additional charge and we were then much more comfortable. The location was nice and close to everything we wanted to see in Salerno and the shopping outside of our door was... More

We had a second floor room reserved for three. The third bed was a pullout couch type and very inadequate; however, once we spoke with the staff, they helped us move to another (bigger) room with a third bed which was MUCH more comfy. The staff were very helpful in advising places to eat, shop, etc. It's an easy town... More

I stayed at the Hotel Montestella in October for 3 days with a number of colleagues. My room was clean, a good size, and fairly quiet. The bathroom was clean but had seen better days and the shower didn't work, but there was a bath. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room but I don't know whether that's standard in... More

The star here was the service. Very helpful and went above and beyond. We asked if there would be gluten free options for breakfast - usually I end up with fruit but at Montestella the waiter saw our room key and said "Senza glutine!" and came back with a tray full of gluten free goodies - bread, biscuits, crackers, muesli,... Mediocre rooms - but quiet, clean - but not neat. Stunning views from the rooftop when having breakfast. Breakfast - for everyone's taste (both sweet and savory). Staff - friendly and welcoming. Location - close to train/bus stations.

The staff were delightful, the room was comfortable and spacious, breakfast on the terrace was simple but ample. The hotel is on a pedestrian walkway with just a few cars. Music on the street in the evenings. Great bars with patios for an aperitivo and a few fine restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Just 6 minutes to the waterfront... More
