Vincento looked after us well, rooms are furnished in a style which suites the style of the old palace and are comfortable with spectacular views from the front rooms. Breakfast consisted of beautiful local cream filled croissants, not good for the waist line but lovely for a change. Only negative is the dingy entry to the building but this is... More

Barone B & B is supremely located on a hill overlooking the Mar Tirreno on the north end of Salerno. And while it is not centrally located, it is within walking distance to the "old" town, which has a lot of wonderful restaurants, bars and shops. There are several bus stops nearby, so it is easy to get to the... More

We stayed at Barone B&B a in September 2014 at the end of our honeymoon. They room and bathroom were clean and beautiful. The sea view room was wonderful! Vicenzo stayed to greet us and check us in as we were a late arrival. He explained everything throughly and also gave us great advise on the city, ferries to other... More

great place, hard to find, although parking is a nightmare and make sure you organise with the own when you are going to arrive as we arrived early than we envisaged and no one was there as he doesn't live in the property. Rooms are beautiful and Enzo very attentive telling us about the town and where to eat and... More

All I have to say about this place is GO THERE!! With Barone B&B, you not only get a central jumping off point at which to stay, but you also get an excellent information center in Enzo (the proprietor). We stayed in the Caseopea room with three people, and it was very comfortable. The only negative I could possibly come... More

I stayed in a room that slept 3 of us and felt very comfortable with everything in the room. It was clean, spacious for what we needed, and had a nice view facing the ocean. Vincenzo was fantastic, helped in any possible way and made great recommendations. He also serves a great breakfast. I will definitely be visiting again

Great views and a very comfortable room. The host Vincenzo goes out of his way to help you enjoy your stay. Accommodation is about a 15 minute walk into the town. Great shops and a lovely old part of the town which is great to explore. Good place to stay if you need to be by the port to tour... More

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. I just wanted to point out two things: 1) The rooms are dated and the furnishings are rustic in keeping with the building as well as the colors of the painting. Then I do not think is so important because the main thing for my guests is the reception and cleaning. Write that... More

A beautiful old building, an interesting town and a wonderful and helpful owner makes Barone an excellent place to stay. It was a great location for getting the boat to the Amalfi Coastal towns and also for taking the train to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Villa Oplontis. The dock is only 10 minutes walk while the train station is either a... More

We loved staying here and regretted that we were only in Salerno for one night on our way to the Naples airport. This B&B is in a 20th century house that was designed in a gothic style and seems older. The original elevator complete with bench (larger than most Italian elevators) makes you feel like you are going back in... More
