Enough good things cannot be said about one's experience staying at Salerno Centro. The location is central within the town so it is easy to access shopping, the museum, a walk along the waterfront or the bus/train station. The assistant, Kaoru, speaks excellent English and is very kind and helpful. She easily translates English/Italian for Lina and Pasquale, the parents... More

La Dolce Vita! It is the best way to describe our experience at Salerno centro b&b. This was our 1st time in Italy. Salerno centro is not your run of the mill bed & breakfast. It is truly about the family that makes all the difference. I was thoroughly impressed with previous trip advisor members reviews and decided to mail... More

My husband and I recently spent only one night at Salerno Centro B & B as we were heading into southern countryside the following day. We would GLADLY return here if we are fortunate enough to make another trip to this area. Every positive review already written is accurate. We chose to take a cooking class from Lina, which was... Salerno Centro IS central and Francesco's parents and Karou are very kind and helpful. If I were to stay in Salerno again, I would certainly stay here as it is within walking distance to everything in Salerno and everything at the B&B is extremely well organized for people to feel at home - with kitchen facilities, even. It is at the... More

My husband and I spent 6 nights at Salerno Centro and found it to be ideal for visiting the Naples/Amalfi area. There are only 3 rooms, so the B&B is quiet and homey. Kaoru, the manager, is very friendly and helpful in providing maps and information on train and bus connections, so we were able to visit Pompeii, Paestum, Amalfi,... More

I am now at the Salerno Centro B&B for the second time in a month. I chose Salerno as a place to break the journey from Rome to Sicily, and back; I chose Salerno Centro B&B because of its in-town location and the services it provides, such as transfers from the railway station. In addition, as many reviewers have pointed... More

We chose Salerno to begin our first time trip to the beautiful Amalfi Coast. We like to stay in the center city, within walking distance to restaurants and shops when we travel, preferably in "old town". The Salerno Central was the perfect location for us. The price was modest, the accoomodations very clean with wonderful hospitality from our hosts.

My family and I stayed at the Salerno Centro B&B for two nights. Everything about our stay was great, from the location to the breakfast to the manager and owner. They arranged for visits to Paestum, a mozzarella farm, and a local museum. The rooms were very nice and clean and had a refrigerator. Restaurants, shopping, grocery store- all within... More

My family of four (husband and 2 grown daughters) recently stayed at this delightful B&B in Salerno as the beginning of our trip to the Amalfi coast. Francesco, the owner, was so responsive to my e-mail requests for help with dinner reservations and transportation to Paestum and the WWII museum in Salerno. We used his father, Pasquale, who is a... Ideally situated at the edge of the historic centre , this charming B&B was perfect for our stay in Salerno - a very warm welcome, comfortable room and ample and tasty breakfast. Kaoru is fantastic in very efficiently providing all the travel information and bus and train timetables for visiting Paestum and the Amalfi Coast, and Lina is a most... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Bed and breakfast "Salerno Centro" is housed in a former convent of 15th century. We are located in the main square of salerno, about 800 meters from salerno train station: a simple and pleasant 10-minute walk along the pedestrianized corso vittorio emanuele, the most important shopping area of salerno. Also the intercity buses and ferries to Amalfi, Positano and Capri are all 10 minutes away. You can choose between three very comfortable rooms with private or en-suite bathroom. There is a wide relaxing terrace where you can enjoy the breakfast. Wi-fi connection is provided in some areas of the accommodation. There are many cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, and the local bus lines are just steps away along via roma. Salerno merits a full day or more just by itself, and can be used as a citybase for daytrips to the Amalfi coast, Cilento coast, Capri, Paestum, the Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompei, Ercolanum and Naples itself."Salerno centro" will be your home away from home. ... more   less
