We just returned from our European vacation and stayed at Salerno Centro at the beginning of our trip. What a great start to a wonderful vacation. Francesco, his mom, dad and Kaoru were all wonderful from beginning to help plan our trip straight through to our departure. They provided excellent suggestions and advice on what to do in the area... More

Wow, what a wonderful place this was. We are a family of 4 with two teenagers. Kids took one room, we took the other. Four nights were not enough for us in Salerno or in this B&B. Salerno became one of our favorite towns almost immediately. There were very few tourists, and that is too bad for those who miss... More

A wonderful Italian experience was had by my family at this B&B. We fell in love with Salerno and felt it was the highlight of our European tour. It was less touristy than other sites and felt like the "real" Italy. Pasquale,Lina and Kaoru made us feel so welcome, and we thoroughly enjoyed their company on various trips.Would love to... More

Stayed three nights in the middle of July. Highly recommend this B&B, wonderful hosts: welcomed by Kaoru meeting my transport and escorting me to the B&B. Delicious breakfasts, Pasquale is a great driver and Lina loves a chat. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I spent 6 nights here. A great location near the "old town", shops & restaurants. A short walk from train, bus and ferry. A wonderful welcome from Kaoru on arrival. She spent sometime informing us about travel arrangements and eating places. She was always very willing to help out. We stayed in the Amalfi room which had... More

I spent four nights in this wonderful place in the beginning of July and must say that I fell in love with both Salerno and this little gem. This is a small place with just three rooms which suited me perfectly since the other people staying there was wonderful people, a couple of them I now consider dear friends. While... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights in Salerno. The B & B is in a great location, has great staff and is good value! Close to "old town", shopping, restaurants and the water. Easy trips from Salerno to Pompeii (inexpensive train) and the amalfi coast (take the city bus one way and water taxi back).

This has been my best experience with a B&B in the five years that I have been travelling to Italy. The Salerno Centro was very easy to find from the train station. When I arrived Kaoru was so welcoming and filled me in on information about important sites to see, and helped me get my bearings with a very handy... More

We stayed here for five nights in June. Francesco and Kauro, as well as Pasquale and Lina, were most charming and accommodating. The Positano room was very comfortable and had a lovely private patio. Breakfast was delicious. Pasquale and Kauro even went so far as to drive us to one of the local museums which was on the other side... More

This is a charming and comfortable hotel. We were given a very warm welcome and we were even given a picnic breakfast for our very early train journey to Rome. This was the only place we stayed that provided tea and coffee making facilities. Very important!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bed and breakfast "Salerno Centro" is housed in a former convent of 15th century. We are located in the main square of salerno, about 800 meters from salerno train station: a simple and pleasant 10-minute walk along the pedestrianized corso vittorio emanuele, the most important shopping area of salerno. Also the intercity buses and ferries to Amalfi, Positano and Capri are all 10 minutes away. You can choose between three very comfortable rooms with private or en-suite bathroom. There is a wide relaxing terrace where you can enjoy the breakfast. Wi-fi connection is provided in some areas of the accommodation. There are many cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity, and the local bus lines are just steps away along via roma. Salerno merits a full day or more just by itself, and can be used as a citybase for daytrips to the Amalfi coast, Cilento coast, Capri, Paestum, the Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompei, Ercolanum and Naples itself."Salerno centro" will be your home away from home. ... more   less
