What a inconvenience place this is to stay at! Such a terrible place almost ruined our Amalfi Coast trip...thank God we hardly ever stayed around the hotel (even though we could have used a relaxing day) and ventured out. WORST TWIN BEDS PUSHED TOGETHER: First of all, we booked via booking.com for a "Luxury Villa" experience. This place is so... More

I read great reviews about this place but didn't know what to expect. Upon arriving my fiancé and I got lost because we didn't see the hotel from the road. Tip; once you pass the gas bar go half a mile look for a old church and a small sign(Villa Santa Maria). We finally found the place and walked out... More

Yes. You will have to go up and down thousands of steps. If you don't have problems in your knees, then the hotel has a breathtaking view, it's modern, cool, and service is good. Going down to the sea requires another gazillion steps, but again, the path is beautiful and the then the beach (not a sand beach) is just... More

Stay in the luxury room .Hotel has a fantastic view definitely worth climbing ,Everything was great .Geraldo and Elvira was very helpful and friendly. My only wish it would be great if they built a railing down to steps to the beach. Because after a point there is no railing so its kinda a scary to go with a child .

This property is to die for. After taking the winding road for what seems like an hour you arrive on the side of the road to what seems like an old abandoned church. Then you see the hundred steps and after the man whisks away your luggage on his shoulders down to the bottom and he is out of sight... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as a way to de-stress from our tour of Italy. The staff was wonderful and really made us feel at home. The room was smaller than expected, but was clean and had modern finishes. The view from the room was out of this world - blue waters and a part of the coastline. The property... More

Stayed in Villa santa Maria for a week in our honeymoon. The room was clean and nice, however not very big. Very nice and friendly staff. Good breakfast, we really appriciate that they served not only white bread. The breakfast was also served in a beautiful garden, with a majestic ocean view. Very nice with a private sundeck, so we... Villa Santa Marie is truly your own private resort. The privacy, the magnificent vistas, a private beach, the house cuisine and the excellence of the staff. Just 2 Km west with easy SITI bus access (Vettica stop) to Amalfi and its boat system. Had I known of the quality of this experience ahead of time, I would have stayed here... More

We have planned to stay a week there but the management was quite friendly to let us go after one night.Although the location is spectacular the villa is rather disappointing. The luxury bedroom was small, so was the bathroom. This is not what we had expected regarding the price. On top of that the house can only be reached by a staircase of... Amalfi is a popular place and can be crowded. But the guests of Villa Santa Maria have it all by themselves. The Villa has a private location and a wonderful view over the Salerno Bay. You must not fear stairs though. The hillside is steep, but you have access to the sea by the stairs that runs all the way... More
