We spent 3 nights at Le Palme and overall we had a pleasant stay. The views are stunning but be aware that the view is NOT from the room but from the common balcony/terrace. This is a villa with 6 rooms so it makes for an intimate setting. Breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking Amalfi. The rooms are average,... More

We arrived hungry on a rainy October night, and was told that all nearby restaurant were closed. The staff was super helpful and cooked us a late meal. Once the rain stopped we discovered the absolutely stunning location of this hotel. The view is magnificent and the breakfast terrace is amazing. I'm writing this sitting by the pool overlooking Amalfi,... More

We stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed it immensely. We hired a car and managed to find the hotel from the directions Teresa had send us by email. When we arrived she was there to greet us and helped us with our luggage down THOSE steps! Using the lift makes it lot easier to manage. The venue has stunning... More

A bit of an awkward place to get to, up the road above the town, but down the hill from the bus stop. The views are sensational, and the steps are a bugger! We were very lazy and took the luggage lift most times when we headed out, which is a godsend for when you actually have your luggage. The... More

The hotel was higher up from the city and a short walk down on the stairs from the town or a short bus ride down. The hotel is warm and inviting a total Italian experience. They even do laundry. If you are able to walk and climb I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Great people.

First things first, this hotel is worth it for the view. If you can't afford the exclusive hotels in Amalfi with similar views, this is a no-brainer, amazing! But worthy of note, the steps are a challenge but a good workout after all the gelato and beautiful Italian food! Beware however that although there is a lift which is useful... More

I won't repeat all the comments about the steps but you certainly get fitter at the end of your holiday! The great thing about this lovely place are the staff especially Teresa as nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts are good and you can ask for more drinks etc if needed. The linked restaurant is very good indeed and Salvatore... More

When we arrived in Amalfi we weren't really sure how to get to the hotel so ended up getting a taxi from the main square which cost €40! Anyone wondering how to find the hotel just needs to get the Pogerola bus that runs ever half an hour (only €1.20) and they will stop near the stairs that lead down... More

Not for the weak-legged, as other reviews have clearly pointed out, but the views, the property, and the people make it worth the steps. Quiet, secluded, private, and a restful place to stay. Stunning views. The staff is helpful. Rino, the patriarch, is a really nice man and although we couldn't speak each other's language, we had a number of... More

As most reviews had mentioned, it is an effort to get to this hotel but the views are well worth it. Plus there is a (slow) lift so really, we didn't find the stairs to be an issue. In fact we quite enjoyed the walk down to the town/beach via stairs. However, definitely catch the bus back up! It was... More
