We stayed at L Antico Convitto last February. It was a last minute booking from Florence and we did not expect much. But when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the owners (I think Gabriela was her name and her husband) and their children too. There was a very homely atmosphere. The rooms are simple but... More

It is not easy to find - but it is worth the effort. Most of Amalfi is closed to traffic unless you are a guest of one of the hotels, and even then, it is open only few hours every day. I was lucky enough when I got there to be able to drive through. The narrow street has a... More

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night in Amalfi and we wish we couldn't have stayed longer! Our room was gorgeous and spacious. We could see the shops below and the mountains out our windows. The staff was very friendly and made us reservations at a great seafood restaurant overlooking the sea. They even accommodated our request for a late checkout... More

I found this hotel on Tripadvisor and decided "why not". We had a free night between a cruise and a timeshare and wanted to see the famous Amalfi coast. We arrived at Amalfi town square and walked into a charming, busy area filled with shops, cafes, gelateries...all surrounding a cathedral. A short distance from the square, tucked into a little... This place was a great value for our money. The room was large and adequately furnished, the bathroom was large too. Location is awesome - right next to the main shopping street. They served a typical European breakfast. Gabriella the receptionist was very helpful too. Only problem was we were supposed to join a hotel-arranged tour around the historical sites... More

The hotel and staff are really waiting for you. They make all efforts to help you in your stay and the location of the hotel is excellent. Good web connection. Recommended for family trip or business trip also. The breakfast in the morning is very good at buffet. Quiet and clean in general. The place around is.... no words. Amalfi!!! More

A nice hotel just off the main street running through Amalfi, within steps of the centre of town. Included breakfast was good (by European standards). Hotel has elevator and a great terrace on the roof. Staff friendly and speak Engish well. Would stay here again. More

This hotel is located in the heart of Amalfi on the 4th floor next to the Duomo. The street is very busy and noisy but the room is quiet with the balcony door closed and the air on. Amalfi impressed me as an overpriced shoppers paradise. We visited the paper museum and that was interesting. We took a bus trip... More

When I booked a room at L'Antico Convitto, I knew it was rated highly, though not as highly as some other. I find it hard to believe, though, that there is actually a better hotel in Amalfi. I basically rate a hotel on quietness, comfort, and service. Aside from the ringing of the bell in the duomo (which would have... More
