This was our first visit to the Hotel Amalfi but it definitely won't be our last. Paola and the hotel team were so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they were more than accommodating with all our requests. The hotel itself is brilliantly situated within the old town of Amalfi literally meters away from all the hustle and bustle... More

Hotels are a customer - centred business, and as such, if a customer wants heat in their room in October, it should be available to them However, it is NOT available at the Hotel Amalfi! More

We were pleased with our stay here, and will stay here for future visits to the Amalfi coast. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Although I know some Italian, Carmela is fluent in English, and the rest of the staff have passable or better command of English. (I did not get the same vibe as Philomena49 at all; sometimes those... More

This Hotel is owner operated and is very central, yet very quiet! It is situated 1 row back from the main street and is reached via a steep flight of stairs! (the Hotel advertises help getting bags up and down!) Staff was very helpful and efficient and key people could speak a good English. The complimentary in and outdoor roof-top... More

The location is extremely central - to both shops, restaurants, the beach and transport (the pier to catch ferries or the bus stop). Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast great and great views of the town centre and water. The staff could not have been more friendly and hospitable - we arrived at 10pm at night and they took care of... More

Beds looked like hospital beds and linens were thin and gross. Stairs leading to hotel entrance were disgusting. Lobby smelled.Very noisy, terrible view. We had a problem and reception and owner were not nice. They did not realize one of us spoke Italian and we heard owner calk us f'ing Americans in Italian. Was worst hotel we stayed at during... Amalfi was absolutely beautiful and the Hotel Amalfi is right in the heart of the city. The room is spacious for Italy and the value is incredible including a great breakfast on the roof of the hotel. We didn't have dinner their but it looked like it would be terrific also. We only stayed one night and now wish it... More

In a great spot in town, perfect for access to the beach/shops/restaurants etc. Hotel was very clean, rooms had plenty of space, great air con, good showers. Breakfast was good too - made even better with the outside terrace that you can sit on. There is also a garden that you can sit in, perfect for early evening drinks! A... More

I liked this hotel. Quiet at night, very clean and the staff were lovely. Five minutes walk through a few narrow alleyways to shops, restaurants, the beach and local transport. My room was good, tv,balcony and walk in shower. No kettle or fridge though. Breakfast was continental. More
