We chose to be in Atrani because Amalfi sounded crowded and more expensive, and that was exactly right. Owners, brothers Filippo and Gabriel, are extremely friendly and helpful. My friend was a little worried about the noise of the church bells, so Filippo gave us a room in an old building a little up the road form the piazza. We... More

When we arrived in Amalfi, we were a bit taken aback by how touristic it was, but luckily Atrani, which is only a short walk away, was much different. It has a lovely village feel and is not overshadowed by tourism, although there are of course also plenty of tourists. The owners of the hostel were very friendly and helpful.... More

I stayed here three nights and could have stayed longer. Atrani was a great base, laid back with a nice beach and social piazza with lots of dining options, it felt good to come back each night after exploring the Amalfi Coast. Very easy to get to Amalfi from here. Although I'd booked a dorm I was put in a... More

Booked a room at A' Scalinatella after reading some great reviews about this place. The price was very reasonable. Atrani is located no more than 10 mins away from the Amalfi town piazza and the several other picturesque villages such as Positano, Ravello, Scala etc. are just short journey away. There is a regular local bus service that can be... More

This was a nice hostel with a really cool Italian owner who gave us a good breakfast each morning. The hostel is in the middle of the little village in Atrani, right next to Amalfi and close to all the main sites on the Coast. We loved our short time there and strongly recommend staying a few nights here on... More

This is cheaper option for those wanting to visit Amalfi and not pay a fortune for a room. It's pretty basic but the owners are lovely, it's located 2 mins from the coast with good bus links nearby, lovely little square just round the corner . We stayed in a private double room and like I said, facilities are pretty... More

easy-going, cheaper than any other option around, friendly, helpful owners, perfect situated very close to Amalfi (5-10 min. walk) in the less tourist-crowded (and nicer) village of Atrani and ideal for either swimming at the beach in front or hiking in the beautiful valley behind. you'll become a part of the village after few days.

I spent 4 nights in the Amalfi coast with my boyfriend and we chose Atrani as our base, as we wanted a less touristic place than Amalfi to stay in. I loved staying in Atrani, the village is beautiful and full of life! The owners of A Scalinatella are extremely nice and kind. However, the room we stayed in was... More

The good things are: -Good prices -Friendly people -Good breakfast -Good location Improvent can be achieved at: -Wlan only at the Breakfastroom witch is 100m away from the hostel -the bathroom in our private room was very small and very old However I can recomend this... The owners are very accommodating and speak good English. They even packed us a to-go breakfast when we had an early ferry from Amalfi. The town and the hostel itself is very safe with each room having its own lock. Atrani is a simple, easy 10 minute walk to Amalfi, but Atrani is not very touristy at all. The town... More
