Before we even reached Italy we knew this place was going to be good!! We contacted them about the best way to see the Amalfi Coast on a budget. What they provided was the basis of our short stay here. Recommendations, timetables, prices. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived in Amalfi by Sitabus from Sorrento. Very enjoyable, with stunning... More

The place is absolutely lovely! Renovated rooms, with own shower, overseeing the bay, very clean and cosy, absolutely loved our stay there! Loved having breakfast on the roof and drinks in the evening! Carmela couldn't be a lovelier and more accommodating host! Although we arrived quite late, she waited for us, she gave us good tops on where to eat,... More

This lovely B and B is outstanding and i cannot fault one thing. The breakfast each morning on the rooftop was devine. Carmela was so helpful and nice during our trip. We will definitely be back one day!

My wife and I have just returned from the best 4 days we have spent in Italy, staying at the beautiful B&B in Amalfi. Carmela and Maria Angela really looked after us, and made us feel really welcome. Stunning views of Amalfi from the terrace were we had a lovely breakfast every morning, which you can relax in at any... More

We spent 2 nights in this lovely b&b. We arrived by ferry and although in google maps the b&b was very close to the port, in reality it wasn't as straight forward to get there as I originally thought! The b&b website had good direction on the two ways you can get to the b&b. One involves a road (I... More

We have just returned from a four night stay a il Porticciolo di Amalfi. It was absolutely beautiful looking down onto the harbour and into the town of Amalfi. Breakfast was served on the roof top terrace so you could start the day with this wonderful view. You could use the terrace in the evening to enjoy a drink and... More

Stayed in porticcolo double room last week (low peak season). Although the reception hours only stated certain hours, Carmela was able to accommodate to our 2pm arrival time as I emailed to inform her earlier and to call her 10mins before reaching. The breakfast was simply awesome with the homemade crispy crossiants- I think it's the best in Italy. Her... More

We recently stayed at Il Porticciolo in late Sept early Oct with another two couples and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Our host Carmila was very attentative to our needs and very helpful with advice on how to get around to sorting out our connection hassles on leaving. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The rooftop area where... More

We enjoyed this B&B in Amalfi for a base to see the town and the surrounding hillside towns of Ravello and Positano and Sorrento for day trips. Very clean rooms, if a bit small, but how often are you in it? Nice wardrobe to put your hanging things in and it locked. Great view on rooftop, for breakfast, which we... More

Pros: + direct view of the Amalfi port from our room window, from high up on the hill + comfortable bed and clean bathroom + breakfast on the rooftop terrace each morning Cons: - room a bit small - hardly any room to lay out luggage and walk around it - no balcony in room - too many steps from...
