This hotel is just average.....except for the view from the balcony which is spectacular. The front desk attendant was unfriendly and bothered. He was so disorganized that he told us only where the dining room was...and nothing else about the hotel. The food at dinner was above average...the service was poor. The maitre d had a scowl on his face... More

This was our first time to the Amalfi coast and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is situated on the main coastal road of Amalfi however being built in to the cliff means that it's quite a tall building. Most rooms have balconies that overlook the beautiful coastline. It's a great location for walking in to the Amalfi town, although beware... More

Hotel Luna Convento is a really nice place with a great history and friendly staff only a little refresh would be a good idea for the future. There are enough old fashioned hotels in South Italy. Time to change!

Historic 1400's covenant, every room has French doors to balcony and faces the Med. Feels like your on the water. Great breakfast and just a short walk to town. Pool and waterside restaurant closed November 1. Loved it!

I stayed at Hotel Luna Convento for three nights in September. The central location was terrific for access to the main piazza and the ferries and buses, and the views of the harbor were breathtaking. The staff at the hotel could not have been kinder and more helpful, and the breakfast spread, including hot scrambled eggs each morning, made one... More

Luna Convento was one of the most magnificent places I have ever experienced. Perched on a cliff above the sea, our small balcony from our modest room offered a commanding view in both directions along the coastline. I especially loved the floor to ceiling hand-painted tile in the bathroom, and the mountain view from the window in the bath which... More

Located on top of a cliff with incredible views. Very old world charming. Our room was a tad small and the bathroom very small but exactly what you want for the visit. Very clean and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend

We stayed here four nights in September. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and found the room and bath very clean and comfortable, and the food, both for breakfast and dinner, very good. Drinks in the cloister before dinner were delightful, too. The view of the Mediterranean from the room, directly over the coast road, was gorgeous, and we enjoyed the... More

Well yes it certainly is, I believe it was built in the 12th. century. Another old fashioned thing about it was the service, incredible! We had a lovely room overlooking the bay and, as I realised the road , but that was no matter as there was very little noise, even with windows wide open all night. The bed was... More

We stayed at this hotel in mid-October . It was once a convent so it's not a typical space. The room we were in had a terrace looking out at the sea, quite beautiful ! The breakfast is very good, with plenty of variety & fresh fruit. The staff, with one exception , was friendly & helpful. The woman who... More
