We enjoyed our stay at Residenza Sole, the lady who greeted us and showed us everything and who was also serving breakfast and cleaning breakfast did a remarkable job. She is a star, I cannot remember her name but she had curly blonde hair. She was so friendly and helpful and managed everything by herself, not sure how she does... More

The host was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The location in Amalfi is great as well. Also good value for the area, and the continental breakfast was nice. In general it was very good. However, the Wifi did not work properly a lot of the time which is annoying. Also, there was literally no sound-proofing in our room, the windows... More

My wife and I and our son and his girlfriend stayed here during Easter. The young lady running the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The location was terrific, a very short walk to the main Cathedral square. The room was comfortable and the morning breakfast on the terrace was a good start to the day. A cosy place we... More

Was so close to the bus stop that made getting around effortless. As well as being a passage walk away from the town centre. The lady at reception was always there to help and made the croissants by hand everyday! The breakfast was served on a large balcony at reasonable times whenever you were ready. The rooms were large, clean... More

We stayed here for two weeks last july. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, though slightly worn (by crazy Norwegian standards). Keep in mind that the area is quite expensive. The service was fantastic, Mariateresa provided helpful advice and perfect cappuccinos for breakfast (!). The location is perfect for getting to the beach or the center of Amalfi. The... More

Not that there's a BAD location in Amalfi, but we loved being so close to the ocean and the main Marketplace in Amalfi but set back a little off the busy street. As with many hotels and B&Bs in Amalfi and elsewhere along the coast, you have to climb some stairs to get to Residenza Sole, but Maria-Theresa was right... More

Residenza Sole is a small hotel with approximately 10 rooms. Every room has a different color and different planet name. The rooms and the bathrooms are large and well equipped. The breakfast is the same every morining and is pretty poor: toast, croissant, muffins, honey, jam, coffee, cappuccino, orange juice etc. You can have the breakfast in your room or... More

We visited Amalfi in September 2011 and this was on the last week of our 6 week train tour of Italy. Amalfi is a beautiful place and I recommend a visit to all. The Residenza Sole is a quaint place to stay and the staff were very helpful. The Residenza Sole is well hidden and you need to climb 40... More

First of all is not an hotel, even it’s advertised like it in the web! The heating in the room was OFF. When we put it ON we discovered right away that the air conditioning was old and noisy, so noisy that we could either shout it OFF, and freeze, or leave it ON and be enable to fall asleep.... More

The hotel is nice, the rooms are big and spacy and very clean. But: it is very expensive for what they offer. Breakfast is poor, just a coffe and a croissant. We barely saw anybody there, even the day before our departure, I had to go to find a telephone to call the cell phone that was in a sign... More
