Amazing little villa overlooking the bay of Amalfi. From start to finish our 6 day stay was fabulous, mainly on part due to the lovely staff who looked after us so well especially Raffaella. Nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were large, very clean & airy. Breakfast was good if not a little repetitive in choice. Beach service was... More

We have just arrived back from 10 days in Amalfi and we're lucky enough to stay at Villa Maria Luigia. The view from our room was out of this world, waking up to the sunshine gleaming in from the balcony everyday was a delight. Our room was spotlessly clean every day and the staff allowed us to use the towels... More

I just got back with my family from our vacation in Amalfi. We enjoyed staying at the Villa Maria Luigia hotel. It is a great place for couples looking for a romantic vacation or a weekend gateway and for families looking for a cozy and relaxing place to experience the Amalfi Costiera culture and way of living. Villa Maria has... More

Not only was the staff extremely accommodating, with dinner suggestions for each town we visited and assistance with transportation, they were incredibly cheerful and kind. Our room overlooked the ocean and was just as breathtaking as I thought it would be. This place comes highly recommended!!!

Villa Maria was by far the loveliest hotel we stayed in during our European holiday. We booked just one day prior to arriving. The only room available was a garden view. The garden view room was totally fine but we managed to upgrade to a seaview room with balcony for the remaining 4 nights. My oh my the seaview rooms... More

We stayed in one of the front rooms overlooking the sea and the view was every bit as good as the photos - spectacular. It is a fair walk into Amalfi town centre but it is downhill and there is a bus back up the hill. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. On... More

The B and B is based 15/20 minutes walk from Amalfi town, just above the coast road with spectacular sea views. The villa is elegant, and our room, Aurora is a corner room with a walk round balcony. It is spacious, fresh and comfortable. Garage space (chargeable) is available and is worth considering. Breakfast was good, self service, fruit, cereals,... More

Villa Maria Luigia was booked on the strength of the good tripadviser reviews & once again my fellow travellers come through with the right advice. The entrance is a little hard to find but no more than a lot of the properties on the narrow road. Once located a secure parking included in the great value price, being out of... More

The staff are pleasant and friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel is clean and the décor is appealing. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the Amalfi town square. The view is AMAZING. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The customer service in the Villa Maria Luigui was excellent. Front desk attendants were very nice, carried our luggage up the stairs, provided a map and helped us figure out bus options to Ravello and Salerno and boat transportation to Capri. One of the staff spoke English quite well and I was able to communicate with the others easily with... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Maria Luigia, belonging to the Amendola family, is the result of a careful and refined renovation of an elegant villa dating back to the 900's. The villa, with its wonderful views, is situated just over than 1km from the center of Amalfi, away from the chaotic Piazza Duomo. Its position allows you to reach the historic centre quickly but offers peace and quiet when you want to relax. And it is with the same elegance, cordiality and experience and a touch of sobriety and Mediterranean modernity that "Villa Maria Luigia" is launched as the ideal destination for those wanting to stay in Divine Amalfi and to be pampered surrounded by comfort and cordiality. Admire the unique views of the Amalfi Coast and Cilentana with the giddy sensation of being suspended between the sky and the sea. ... more   less
