The Royal (far from it) Hotel was the low point of our stay in Cosenza - an underrated gem of a town - which was otherwise filled with great experiences. A gaggle of Herbalife salespeople were smoking outside the conference room and clogging the entrance as we arrived. They weren't in sale mode, so they didn't need to be polite/smoke... More

Although we had a little trouble finding the hotel (due to its recent construction and move from an older location), this is a great, modern and very reasonably priced hotel. The property is spotless and the room and bathroom very spacious for a european hotel. The hotel also has secured underground parking, which is a great feature and rare. All... More

We stayed 3 nights here at the end of April. It seems that the hotel was either recently built, or renovated. Be aware that there are two Royal Hotels in Consenza. The actual hotel with rooms you sleep in is located at the following address: Viale delle Medaglie D'Oro, 1. The address provided by Tripadvisor is for the old, now... More

Stayed there overnight. Underground carpark is a bonus. Rooms are clean and spacious. Reception recommended to go for a pizza at La Graticola, just a couple of blocks away..very nice pizza we had there too. Hotel is round the corner from pedestrian zone. Breakfast was ok but i expected at least to have some salamis, ham and cheese. It was... More

We spent 3 nights at the Royal Hotel just after Christmas, and while it does lack a certain charm--a business class hotel, really--Cosenza isn't a touristic city, and we were pleased with the cleanliness, comfort level, decent breakfast, price, and the great location, in the new town, just off Corso Mazzini, but an easy 10 minute walk to the old... Just come back from our second holiday trip to Cosenza and stayed at the Royal both times. There don't seem to be many options around the centre and this is probably the best if you are touring. This is a decent hotel, really it's designed and geared for business travel and it's not quite up to speed. Breakfast is ok,... More

The hotel is near the city center - just a few blocks away. We enjoyed being able to walk a few blocks and have a nice dinner. The hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious. The staff was very helpful. There was a very nice breakfast as well. My family felt the same way about out hotel stay. I... More

The hotel didn't disappoint us at all. They are located near the city center in a totally remodeled building with fresh new rooms. They have free private parking, which was great. The staff was very lovely and helpful (although they didn't seem to speak English - you hardly find people who speak English in Calabria) and breakfast was delicious. We... More
