Cosenza is not well known by tourists, and it should be. It is a wonderful, medium sized Italian town with a small, untouristy historic center and lively prosperous populous. The Holiday Inn was terrific. The hotel is beautiful and has many restaurants nearby. If you leave the front entrance of the hotel turn left and walk 100 feet there is a small mall that includes supermarket with hot food. The hotel also provides free internet access. The hotel is either new or recently remodeled, with nice rooms and a terrific restaurant. Wireless internet is free in the lobby (and sometimes in the room we were in), but the reception is spotty and only 1 of our 2 computers could get a connection. Not much more that I could say about this perfect experience in Cosenza. Secure parking, great hotel staff, clean rooms, all of the amenities that one would come to expect from any four star hotel.
