Outstanding hotel. Great value and the staff was VERY accommodating to me as I was a non-Italian speaking guest. I was very pleased with the room size and cleanliness. The restaurant has a nicely varied menu and the wait staff there was also very attentive and professional.

La Primula is an oasis of calm and beauty very close to a city of commerce, hectic activity and heavy traffic. The splendid park in which the hotel is located is wonderfully landscaped with a wide variety of tress, bushes and flowers. It also has a wonderful pool with all the accompanying comforts. The hotel and its setting made me... More

As we drove past the busy streets of Potenza, I was getting nervous lest we should go very far from the downtown and the university of Basilicata. When we reached La Primula, we found that it is located just outside of the busy centre not far from the university. The staff greeted us with smile and were helpful always. The... More

We were looking to stay for one night in Potenza but had difficulty in finding anything decent in the town itself and added to the awful traffic, lack of parking, narrowness of the streets as you climbed higher up the hill, we couldn't wait to get away. Fortunately we found La Primula on our satnav which took us straight there... More

Our recent visit to a small town in Basilicata necessitated lodging for one night's stay, and we chose La Primula. As we entered from the large parking area, a bit weary from the road, we took notice of the lovely outdoor patios and pool area. Within minutes of our friendly check- in service, my husband was relaxing poolside with a... More

My husband and I stayed at La Primula for one great night during a vacation in southern Italy! We spent the evening with friends and at 12:00 midnight, decided not to drive back to our "home base", over an hour away. We called La Primula and asked if they could accommodate us, despite the late arrival. Not only did they... More

Our family had a wonderful 2 night stay at Hotel La Primula. It was spotless, buffet breakfast including eggs and bacon was wonderful. It is across from a great little supermarket, 2 min. walk to breathtaking harbor, shops, marina and restaurants. Perfect oasis with pool and gardens.

The staff all speak english- which is a bonus, given my woeful italian! Overall, a great hotel, with great staff- you will not be disappointed, highly recommended.

After a poor night the night before, and an unpleasant drive on mountain roads to reach Potenza in the dark, we were full of trepidation about how to find the Primula and indeed what we'd find when we did so. No worries. Although the hotel is in an unprepossessing suburb where every street seems to be called the Contrada Bucaletto,... More

We enjoyed this peaceful oasis from industrial Potenza, it is such a beautiful mini resort, the rooms are very large and comfortable, decorated as if you were staying in someone's home, except for Thailand or Bali, it was the only hotel in Italy that immaculately folded and put our nightwear on our pillows, we felt like our Nonna had been...
