I highly recommend visiting Matera but avoid this hotel like the plague! We chose this hotel as it seemed nice and in July the temperature was quite roasting so the pool seemed like a perfect extra. We arrived in the early afternoon and thought a dip in the pool would be nice before visiting the city but when we asked... More

I've spent two nights at this hotel with my family. We had reserved a deluxe room with two additional beds. The room was a bit small for our two children but this was not the main issue. In fact the room located at the second floor provided access to a terrace which was really dirty and full of insects. The... More

The website states there is an outside pool from which you would assume it is free, Hotels.Com states there is a water park for a surcharge. The reality is a packed outdoor pool that costs €10 per person and does not even cover the following morning before you check out. How on earth it can be listed as a water... More

We arrived at the hotel the afternoon of Christmas Day. A few minutes after arriving we put the swimsuits and went down in the spa. The pool was just for us and so is the the sauna and turkish bath. We held approximately two hours between quiet swim and relax on loungers sipping good tea. The room spacious and comfortable.... More

I am a HIlton Honors Diamond member for over 10 years in a row. I truly like the Hilton Family Hotels! We are travelling through Italy staying only at Hilton, Doubletree and Hilton Garden Inn hotels. All hotel were good to great, except for this Hilton Garden Inn. This is the first time ever I write a negative review on... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, again on the Riviera Tour of Puglia. We were told that this was the sister hotel to Lecce - hmm - well the general opinion amongst fellow travellers was that yes, it was similar, but everything about the rooms was smaller. Smaller bed (4'6") smaller towels, smaller room, smaller cups. The bed was comfortable... More

On our arrival we were very impressed with the landscaped grounds. Unfortunately the good news ends there. Our room was small and the carpet and windows were dirty. The main pool was closed (mid June) but after many complaints from our group the pool was reluctantly opened. Adequate breakfast. Dinner was ok but very rushed. I guess this was due... More

We stayed here as part of a tour of Puglia for two nights in a group of 48. We had been looking forward to this hotel as it has grounds and advertised two swimming pools one indoor and one outdoor. Sadly the outdoor pool was not yet ready for the season though we arrived at the beginning of June. The... More

We are currently staying at the hotel for two nights. Stylish in a kind of eighties sort of way. Lovely countryside setting. Seriously disappointing. Room small but adequate- nothing like the sister Hilton in Lecce. Food OK, no more. Both beautiful indoor and outdoor pools were out of action. Warning! Exceptionally noisy disco ran from midnight till three am. Relieved... More

Stayed here with a group of 50 people. We were taken into Matera by coach, but coming back a couple of us took the local bus €1.50, hourly from the bus station, which takes about 20-30 minutes and stops outside the hotel. Very attractively designed hotel in very quiet area, I had view of hills. Light and airy common and... More
