My mother and I stayed for 6 nights. It was a perfect base for visiting Matera and the rest of Basilicata. We chose it as we could easily park the car and it was ideal. The ground floor twin room was perfect and the garden and pool were attractive and great to relax by on a couple of mornings. The... More

Some twenty minutes walk from the fascinating old town of Matera, this quiet, intimate hotel is perfect for those wishing for a good base outside town with free parking and comfortable surroundings. Breakfast is adequate and the staff very helpful and pleasant. No restaurant but plenty of good places to eat in Matera. The room was comfortable, en suite shower... More

I booked this hotel because we were travelling by car and I wanted somewhere to park and have the car secure. It is a little walk (about 750 meters) from the main town area but is on a hill with pleasant views. The room was spotless, the bed comfy and the shower excellent. Breakfast was very nice without being extravagant.... More

This was a perfect spot to stay in Matera, close to everything, yet enough removed to be quiet & serene. Lovely breakfast, a welcoming gift, accommodating staff, comfortable & nicely decorated. Bella!

This hotel is intimate and comfortable, offering an excellent breakfast and with very friendly staff. Located a bit out of the way--about ten minutes on foot to the heart of the old town. Good value for money.

I just spend 2 nights in this small, well appointed hotel in Matera. I was greeted by a friendly, smiling face. There was no problem with English as one would expect in a small town in Italy. They were helpful in giving directions and even ordered a massage to given in my room. The room was a nice size and... More

Stayed for one night, room of a good 4 star standard including welcome drinks making facilities ( unusual in Italy). Nice large room with a big bed, neutral decoration & all modern facilities including free broadband. Hotel is in a safe residential area about 10-15 min walk from most of the attractions & not so easy to find. Good views... More

Lovely family run, small hotel in a residential setting. The staff were very pleasant and very helpful. It is a short 10 – 15 minutes walk to see the Sassi town of Matera. Lovely clean pool and you can hire swimming towels for 2 Euros.

What a lovely hotel! Only small but all that we needed and the staff and owners were so friendly and helpful - Hello and best wishes to Serena, Paola, Alessandria and to the owner Cosimo and his wife who gave us a glass of limoncello and some homemade tiramisu one evening! The rooms and grounds were immaculate, the shower was... More

Wonderful hotel in Matera! The information provided to us at arrival was very helpful, including some excellent restaurant recommendations in the area. The location was a 10 minute walk to the city centre. The rooms were clean and spacious (good size bed & powerful shower). We found the breakfast was adequate, a good selection of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, as well... More
