It's great to find a B&B in February run by heating systems professional. With interesting interior, great breakfast (with freshly cooked cakes) and charming owner, who picked us from Matera's center. Highly recommended! Relatively cheap and conveniently located - not in Sassi itself, but by 10 mins walk.

We have been traveling in southern Italy for three weeks and this has been our favorite experience. We pulled into Matera late in the afternoon, and the TI took pity on our deer-in-the-headlights look, and recommended I Tre Fiori, as a comfortable place to stay outside of the "sassi". It's quite a complicated area and the proprietor, Angela, drove to... More

Like the other reviewers I was directed to this B&B by the local tourist office (cost an extra 15 euro!). The place is not in the city center but just over 5 minutes on foot will get you to the city center. The rooms are very clean, very bright, the A/C works great and there was a decent view from... This B&B which is in a residential area, was a great base whilst in Matera. The owners originally picked us up from the tourist office. They are a lovely couple who were very eager to please, and the rooms were beautifully clean and nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast - all homemade by the owner, was wonderful. We thoroughly recommend... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here whilst visiting the beautiful town of Matera, The B&B is within easy walking distance to the old town. The room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view from the balcony. The owners, who did not speak any English and our Italian is pretty poor were very kind, helpful and hospitable made every effort... More

We found this great B&B through the local tourist office - we were supposed to be camping but when temperature hit 48 degrees, we felt a bit of air con was required! The owner came and picked us up so we could collect our car and follow him to the property. Whilst not in the old part of town, the... More

The name of the place is I Tre Fiori (The Three Flowers)This is a B&B within walking distance of the Sassi of Matera. The owners do not speak English but will make every effort to be understood and to understand you. Very kind, helpful and hospitable. You absolutely must try the homemade cherry jam (from cherries picked from the tree... More
