My husband & I have just come back from a few days in Valencia for our wedding anniversary. The only complaint to make about the hotel is the breakfast it was €30 for both of us to basically have toast and coffee. We found a lovely cafe a few steps from the cathedral called "Bertal".We found a lovely restaurant a few steps... more

The hotel is in a great location - you can walk to all the tourist sites and the main shopping streets but it is noisy on Saturday nights ( I was woken up at 3 am). I wouldn't stay there again as the reception staff were rude and unprofessional. They talked about me even though I was within earshot and... more

If you are on a Friday afternoon to Sunday evening city break this hotel is perfect. Bang in the centre of the tourist area you are only a stroll away from most of the sites. The trip from the airport to the hotel is about 30 minutes on the metro which on our limited experience are safe, frequent and reliable.... more

Excellent central location, some rooms overlook the busy main square, others a quiet side street. Rooms are reasonably well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast is good but costs EUR15. A taxi from the airport takes 15 mins and cost EUR20; the metro is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, that takes 30 minutes and costs EUR1.80. There is a small... more

Have just returned from a 5 day 4 night stay at the Melia Plaza. The Hotel is on a fantastic location - you couldn't ask for better. Most of the main attractions are within walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also made go use of the gym on the 11th floor. Its not rammed full of equipment but... more

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. The hotel is located on the main square but is only a 15-20minute taxi journey from the airport. Our room was quite small but very well furnished and very clean. It also had a large balcony which was great for catching some rays! The staff were polite and... more

I have just spent 4 days at the Melia Plaza. What a lovely hotel, everything is clean neat and tidy. The staff are very professional which is very refreshing. The room was lovely and faced out into the the Plaza del Ayuntamiento which is a great view day or night. I used the gym on the 11th floor which is... more

With 3 couples travelling we booked up what we thought were 3 double rooms. When we arrived we were all allocated twin rooms with no view. We were told that there were no doubles available and that if we wanted a front facing room we'd have to ask again thefollowing day. We did and once again there were none availabitle.... more

We obviously struck this place at a bad time. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment and the usual good breakfast was well below standard. We have stayed here before but we do think that it is not one of this chain's best hotels. Refurbishment should not be an excuse for poor service. Has no one else noticed the rather unpleasant... more

We stayed at Melia Plaza for four days during Easter. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the sights of Valencia. A few minute's walk from the old city, the main shopping area and the railway station. Buses that will take you to most parts of the city stop right outside the hotel and there is a taxi stop just... more
