The room was very nice, the hotel was very nice, but i could hear my neighbours, especially the ones upstairs, when they'd come in late at night.. There was also construction on our floor, which prevented us from having our siesta. It was generally too noisy for a light sleeper more

Clean, functional rooms adequate for a clean up after a day on the beach or around the town before going out. Nothing inspiring though. Walls paper thin and the (lovely) marble floors mean that a lie in is impossible as you can hear the maids moving the furniture around form early in the morning. Reception staff are helpful if prompted... more

If you want to stay in a place with character and charm then this is the place, not to mention the quietness of the rooms at night, the 2 rooms we had booked were so quiet with comfortable beds. Unlike the previous reviewer we found plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Make sure... more

Stayed at the Ad Hoc in early May on a Saturday and Sunday night. Pros: Very nice room (ours was on the 4th floor at the front of the hotel) - good size, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Really loved the brick ceiling. Location is OK - it is within fairly easy walking distance to the central square, although I... more

Stayed at the Ad Hoc last week and loved it. The room was full of character with exposed brickwork and looked out over the quiet street at the front of the hotel. Flatscreen TV, but only one English channel (Sky news) although occasional English programmes on other channels. Very clean. The bathroom was spacious enough for me to store all... more

stayed in a cracking large room on the 4th floor overlooking the front road. Lovely quiet back street full of valencian charm. the room was large with seperate seating area, large exposed brick vaulted ceilings, flat screen tv and a lovely bathroom with all the mod cons and complimentry bits. easily a superior 3 star/4star. For the price you would... more

Over in Valencia for a wedding, we needed somewhere cheap but chic to stay. We paid around £60 a night and had a reasonable double room. The staff were efficient, if reserved and the hotel was perfectly located to wander into the centre in the evening and check out the bars and restaurants. Also, being just on the edge of... more

Stayed for 4 nights in December 2007, 106 eur Th,Fri, Sat and 83 eur Sun B&B. Decent room at front, with character, beams and brickwork. Handy location for Old Town. Desk staff very helpful trying to book restaurants. This was a major problem, trying to find a restaurant with a table Fri and Sat night and Sun lunchtime (few places... more

We stayed at the Ad Hoc from Dec 8 to Dec 11. We knew the Saturday price would be dearer because it was also one of Spain's big holidays. But we did not anticipate being lumbered with a pokey back room with a tiny window looking out into a narrow shaft. (We had booked in August). We got a much... more

We stayed a couple of nights in the Ad Hoc after looking up each of the Lonely Planet's recommendations on TripAdvisor (it was the only one that was either not horrid or very expensive). The taxi driver from the airport knew right away where the hotel was and it was a little over 16 Euros for the trip (not much... more
